THE LAMB OF GOD TOOK AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD

Greetings dear saints of God and others and welcome back to this exciting and revelatory study of The Trail of Blood from before the foundation of the world to the Mercy Seat of Heaven. Now, let’s get back on the trail. I will be continuing to talk of Jesus our eternal sacrifice shedding innocent Blood. We are in Christ Jesus, and the power we have and use in Heaven and earth comes from the Throne. We take the actions and speak the words of God in faith, and God sees to it that it comes to pass.
Acts 17:28 (KJV)
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
As we mature in Him, we can walk in increased power, but like a good father, the Father, keeps us under supervision until we are ready. The bottom line, key to increased power, is our love walk.
Galatians 4:1-2 (KJV)
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Jesus is the final blood sacrifice. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming for water baptism he announces the mission of Jesus. Jesus did many things in His earthly Ministry, but the primary mission was to destroy the works of the devil taking away the sin of the world.
John 1:29 (KJV)
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Jesus was without sin. He was innocent.
Hebrews 4:15 (KJV)
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus was a lamb without blemish. By the way, we don’t need to sin, we can be sinless in this world. It is a choice.
1 Peter 1:19 (KJV)
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: [2]
Jesus was without fault (blemish), He was unblemished physically and morally (soul). Jesus was the son of man, but He was also the Son of God; therefore, the very blood of man and of God was shed on the cross. When God made covenant with Abram in Genesis chapter fifteen, He had to substitute animal blood for His own; but now in the fullness of time, He sheds His own blood. Just as the animal slain in the garden was unstained by sin in his body or behavior, so was our Savior unstained by sin in His body or soul. Jesus was the final blood sacrifice, setting sin aside forever. And praise be to God, Jesus was willing; for I desperately needed a Savior.
Hebrews 12:2 (ESV)
2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus had joy for He was pleasing the Father in bringing many sons to glory.
Hebrews 2:10 (KJV)
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
TAKE HOME:
- Jesus endured the Cross and thought little of the shame for the joy set before Him. He brought many sons to glory and was restored to the right hand of the Father.
- Jesus the precious Lamb of God without spot and without blemish yet He was tempted in every way just as we are.
- Jesus is our help meet, the One ideally suited to come along side of each one of us.
Lord willing, I will resume right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
