SEVEN MOUNTAINS OR PILLARS – PART SIXTEEN

REPENT AND RETURN TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

Greetings dear saints, sons of God and all others joining. Welcome to this enlightening and inspiring study of the Seven Mountains also referred to as pillars or gates. Of the Seven Mountains, thus far we have discussed the Mountain of Religion, Media, Education, Business, and the Government Mountain. Today I will continue our discussion of the Mountain of Arts, Entertainment, and Sports. Unfortunately, this Mountain like all the others, is seriously corrupted.

I did a couple of simple internet searches about the how entertainment has corrupted Sunday’s. As you look at these facts, think about what else was going on in the culture. These corruptions were allowed by the Church. The solutions for this culture, for this nation are not coming from the heathen but a Church. Individual Christians who know who they are and bodies of believers who know they have the authority in the earth. Remember our authority is over the earth, and demons, not people. People have free will saved or not. But in our sphere of influence, our spheres of authority, we can bring the voices of evil spirits to a halt.

Many will remember the “Blue Laws” which prohibited most commercial activities including shopping and professional games on Sunday’s. Some Pastor’s even change their service schedules to accommodate their carnal members on Super Bowl Sunday. Restrictions on retail shopping was lifted across the United States in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Now it is reported that Sunday retail sales are about 50% higher than other days of the week including Saturday. What else was going on? Prayer and Bibles were removed from schools in 1962 and 1963. Just what in the world did the Church think was going to replace that? Then on January 22^nd, 1973, Roe v. Wade was decided, and the death cult was in full view. Where was the Church? Behind four walls wringing their hands!

Professional sports made Sunday’s primary day for games, especially the NFL from the early 1900’s becoming universal in the 1970’s and 80’s. The so-called sexual revolution peaked during the 1960’s leading no doubt to movies etc. with more graphic sexual content. Where was the Church? Again, in hand wringing mode. Where is the Church today with evil in full view running rampant with violence of all types not confronted with consequences. I am talking about riots in recent years by very evil organizations with no consequences. No consequences for those impeding the freedom of others and destroying property and no consequences for those financing these illegal and demonic activities.

Dear ones, all of this is evil! The Church needs to repent of it’s lack of stewardship over the culture, our nation, and step into our God given positions of authority and He will back us up.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We need to know and act like we are the head and not the tail in every mountain including this one, and being above and never beneath in every mountain including this one.

Deuteronomy 28:13 (KJV)

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

To my knowledge, Scripture neither encourages nor discourages arts, entertainment, and sports. Entertainment has been a part of culture for millennia. As I researched this, I found three different ways to think about it.

1. Does it rouse harmful desires?
2. Is it permissible but not beneficial?
3. Does it waste time?

All of us are in full-time Ministry whether we are in the Religion Mountain or not. Full-time Ministry is generally regarded as being a Minister in the Religion Mountain but that is a gross misunderstanding of who you are at salvation. Before salvation we were in full-time ministry for the kingdom of darkness, now the Kingdom of Light.

TAKE HOME:

1. A return to righteousness in our culture will not be initiated by the heathen nor by the carnal Christians that dominate many congregations.
2. Evil does not happen a vacuum nor in the presence of a person or group taking their God given authority and exercising it according to the will of God.
3. The Church as a whole is in serious need of repentance and not business as usual, which was and is evil.

As the Lord wills, I will return tomorrow with fresh revelation. The Lord bless and keep you and yours.  Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
