SEVEN MOUNTAINS OR PILLARS – PART FIFTEEN

BRING LIGHT AND EXERCISE DELEGATED AUTHORITY

Greetings dear saints, sons of God and all others joining. Welcome to this enlightening and inspiring study of the Seven Mountains also referred to as pillars or gates. Of the Seven Mountains, thus far we have discussed the Mountain of Religion, Media, Education, Business, and the Government Mountain. Today I will plunge into the Mountain of Arts, Entertainment, and Sports. Unfortunately, this Mountain like all the others, is seriously corrupted.

There is nothing I am aware of in Scripture which encourages arts, entertainment, and sports nor discourages these. Using the general label of entertainment this has been a part of culture for millennia. As I researched this, I found three different ways to think about it.

1. Does it rouse harmful desires?
2. Is it permissible but not beneficial?
3. Does it waste time?

All of us are in full-time Ministry whether we are in the Religion Mountain or not. Full-time Ministry is generally regarded as being a Minister in the Religion Mountain but that is a gross misunderstanding of who you are at salvation. Before salvation we were in full-time ministry for the kingdom of darkness, now the Kingdom of Light. Consider the following verses.

Ephesians 4:10-13 (KJV)

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Did you read verse twelve carefully? No matter the Mountains to which God assigns and equips you for including the Family Mountain it is Ministry, it is unto the Lord, it is His way.

Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

You and I have a responsibility to build up the body of Christ. We do this by striving to increase day by day in spiritual maturity and by being a person of excellence no matter what we are doing. So, we are to raise our families, interact with family member according to the Word of God, the ways of God not the culture. This is ministry, submission to our Lord and the Father. In our vocations we are to be peoples of excellence, the problem solver not the problem maker.

We are to serve the company we work for to further its reputation, and we are to serve the people that company serves with excellence. Both with a good attitude, one that pleases the Lord, our employer, and the people being served. Now, a little Biblical Numerology. Ephesians is the 10^th Book of the New Testament and is the number of responsibility. Our verse is in the fourth chapter and four is the number light and authority. The twelfth verse is governmental perfection. You and I dear ones are the government on the earth whether you believe it or not and whether they teach that at your Church or not. You and I have the responsibility to bring light wherever we are and to exercise our delegated authority according to the will of God. The next verse will be very familiar to the folks that follow this Ministry on a regular basis.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. So, we could rephrase the verse as follows; seek first right standing and right doing with God, His Bible peace, and the joy of the Lord doing all His way. Just as various gifts of the Spirit may be exercised by one person differently from another person is it all the same Spirit. So it is with righteousness, peace and joy. I have not forgotten we are talking about the Entertainment Mountain. I am attempting to get our thinking more in line with Scripture and not modern culture.

TAKE HOME:

1. We all have a work of Ministry.
2. We do ALL as unto the Lord.
3. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.      

As the Lord wills, I will return tomorrow with fresh revelation. The Lord bless and keep you and yours.  Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
