THE GLORY OF THE LATTER HOUSE
Sunday – January 5, 2020, Tevet 8, 5780
Greeting my dear friends, and partners of and with this Ministry, Eastern Gate Ministries International with two new arms named Sabbatical Moments, and Women’s Conference 2020. As you may recall Sabbatical Moments is being formed and implemented to reach out to discouraged pastors and their spouses. The Women’s Conference 2020 is reaching out to women to be a conduit for the Lord to put of Himself into women’s lives and their families changing defeats to victories. It is the will of God that all of this ministry helps others to change defeats to victories and take their work in the Kingdom from losses to gains. Welcome to the Sunday teachings which will be (for now) stand alone teachings.
Today I will be presenting a lengthy Scripture passage for us all to meditate and see how this applies to your lives personally and as ministers of God. We are all in ministry whether we know it or not (Ephesians 4:12).
Ephesians 4:12 (KJV)
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
The saints in this verse is speaking of you and me and we have a very anointed and unique role to play in the plan of God which is to build up the body of Christ. The Apostle Peter refers to us as lively stones building the house of God’s habitation.
1 Peter 2:5 (KJV)
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
With regard to the Ephesians reference let me comment briefly on the Biblical Numerology. Ephesians is the tenth book of the New Testament and ten is the number of responsibility, our responsibility and God’s. Four is the number of light, authority, and power. Light is the Anointed Word of God, the Truth. Twelve is the number of God’s perfect government. We have a responsibility to bring light (Anointed Word of God, the Truth) and be God’s perfect government in the earth. With the leadership of the Holy Spirit we are to exercise authority and power in the earth, we are the governing authority and power in the earth not Satan. As we read the following passage let’s ask the Lord how this applies to each of us personally and the ministry in our hand. Now let’s read and take to heart the following passage from Haggai.
Haggai 2:1-9 (KJV)
1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,
2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Of course, there is much that can be said about each and every verse but Lord willing I will keep this brief and each of us will allow the Lord, the Teacher, to bring new light and renew light we have forgotten or let fade. The Lord is talking to Haggai about the Temple however I don’t believe it to be a misuse of Scripture to apply it to our circumstances, or spiritual lives. Just as the latter Temple in Jerusalem (516 BC) was to be greater or have more glory (goodness) so are we as latter temples to be greater than the Old Testament saints. We are inhabited by the Holy Spirit and can manifest forth the fruits of our spirit (God given) and the gifts of the Holy Spirit with power. We are empowered, each and everyone of us, to do the things Jesus did and the greater things (John 14:12).
Notice in verse four they (and we) were told to be strong, that has not changed, we must be strong. We decide and He strengthens us, we make the first move He enforces it, chose strength in Him and decree it saying, “I am strong in the Lord and the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). Verse five has recently impacted me in a wonderful way. Dear ones we are in Covenant, Blood Covenant, with the Father in Christ Jesus. We operate in this Covenant by the same faith that Abraham had to bring his child of promise, Isaac, into the earth and ultimately The Child of Promise, the Messiah Christ Jesus, our Savior. Jesus has brought us out of sin into the Kingdom of Light and we are not to fear, period. Fear brings defeat, stealing, killing, and destroying into our lives. Fear brings or has torment, perfected love (agape) eliminates fear and brings comfort driving out all torment.
There is certainly a shaking in the earth perhaps not like ever before but none the less it is the beginning of the greatest harvest ever and must be before the Catching Away. The outcome of the shaking is the bring the wealth (desire of all nations) into the Kingdom of God. That is not just the Church house but your house. If the silver and the gold is the Lord’s than it is equally ours for Jesus is heir of ALL things and we are joint heirs with Him. This is physical wealth for NOW not just spiritual wealth for the sweet bye and bye (Romans 8:17). We must look with all expectancy for this massive wealth transfer and ask the Lord with all diligence what our part is in this transfer. Those that envy and love money as evidenced by their stout words against rich, prosperous, preachers and thus against God will have no part in this end time move of God.
The ninth verse has a very special and personal meaning for me but it can for all of you as well. On November 1, 2018 as I was crying out to the Lord, He gave me this verse. My wife had moved to Heaven earlier in the year and I did not want to be alone. God said from the beginning that it was not good for man (man of woman) to be alone (Genesis 2:18). The primary emphasis at that moment was concerning my plans to move from Maine back to Texas but the Lord made it clear that right here in Maine, in spite of the awful circumstances of the last year or so, is where He would give me peace, where He would make me whole. He has made good on that promise for sure. As I looked at the promise that the “glory of the latter house shall be greater than of the former” I wondered how that could be since in years past the former was quite good. Remember the glory of God is the goodness of God and He does everything first class, Heaven level. Here again, He has not failed and He will not fail you. Each year our house, personal and ministry lives, should be greater! Likewise, our peace, our wholeness in Him, should be on the increase as well.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
