A GOOD REPORT
Friday – April 6, 2018, Nisan 21, 5778
Reports are being written in Heaven even at this very moment concerning each of us, what do they say?
Malachi 3:16-18 (KJV)
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Will your report or mine be a thick book of remembrance or be very scant or perhaps not exist at all. Will our names be found in the Book of life and then the books of remembrance? All who are born again will one day appear before the Lord Jesus and give an account of what we have done in this life, our reward, and future assignments will be given accordingly. What we do in this wisp of time on earth determines our eternity.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15 (KJV)
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
This is very serious stuff brother and sister and we are operating like stone age people, far, far, far below our potentials. Jesus Christ laid a firm foundation and we are to be building upon that, there is no poverty and sickness to be found on that foundation, that is another’s foundation. Let us get about the Father’s business. Now, let’s read aloud our primary text and move fully into our Bible Study from Hebrews.
Hebrews 11:1-4 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
As we move forward in our primary text we find that the elders or those who have gone before us in the time of old were highly commended for their faith. Some of them made it into the Hall of Fame for Faith and are recorded for us to learn from. Others perhaps are not recorded in Scripture but their faith should not be regarded as of lesser quality. Perhaps there are people you have encountered or know about that would be on a par with those we are about to study in their own time. As we launch into some of these testimonies it is my confession that I will be strengthened and be stronger in faith, so that the Lord can turn to me and say: “a man of great faith”. What about you? Are you looking for information alone, understanding, wisdom, or all that plus world changing faith? I want to find that there has been a substantial report compiled on me when I move to Heaven and when the fire is applied it remains and is not burned up. I want to stand boldly before my Lord on that day with perfected love and the copious fruit of faith.
As we enter verse three we find great illumination of how things came to be and where they came from. God created the worlds (all created things) with Words of unwavering faith. This creation was complete, it was perfect when He made it. The word translated as “framed” does not mean an outline like in framing a house and leaving it unfinished, instead it means complete and perfect. All that we see in this physical creation was made from things which we cannot see, that is spiritual things. When I say we cannot see, it means they are not detectable with our five senses or other natural equipment. Our spirit man can see very clearly in the physical and spiritual world however with sin and the ensuing curse there is a filter. The more carnal the greater the filter, perhaps 100%, the more spiritual we are the filter remains but diminishes. Everything spiritual and everything physical is made from something. The physical worlds came from the stuff of the unseen or spiritual realm. Our spirit man is made of the same stuff as our Father God. The physical realm originated from the spiritual realm so, therefore, our physical bodies and all other things are made of the same stuff as Heaven. The material of the spirit realm was rearranged by God the Holy Spirit through faith (spiritual law) in response to the spoken Word (also spirit). It seems to me that the material of the unseen was in some way altered (likely slowed well below the speed of light) to assume its current physical form by the Holy Spirit. Lord willing, I will pick up here next week and we will move forward building great faith. It is our obligation, our responsibility.

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
