THROUGH FAITH

Welcome back to this wonderful faith building Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Have you ever thought about the Biblical Numerology for this Romans verse? Romans is the sixth book of the New Testament and six is the number of man. It is the tenth chapter and ten is the number of responsibility, our responsibility. Finally, it is verse seventeen and this is the number of victory. So then, we could say: when a man or woman diligently exercises their responsibility to develop faith they will have the victory. Our faith which is a bedrock of unwavering belief in our God and His Word; secured by hearing and hearing the Word of God. In addition, the more we hear the Word of God the better we can hear or perceive the Word of God. We are to receive the Word without question whether we understand it or not at the outset. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary text. Let’s read it aloud and then dive right into the study for today.
Hebrews 11:1-4 (KJV)
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
We are talking about faith, in fact the whole eleventh chapter of Hebrews is examples of people gone before us and their demonstrations of faith. Hebrews is the nineteenth Book of the New Testament and nineteen is the number of faith. We are studying chapter eleven and eleven is the number of alignment, alignment with God. Isn’t the Word of God so wonderful? We have found that our faith is the very foundation of all that we hope for according to the Word of God and it is the evidence of what as yet is unseen. Faith is a force for saint and sinner alike; however, the sinner does not have the Creative Force of the Holy Spirit backing him up. Human beings even in the fallen state have tremendous potential with a vast portion untapped. Notice the following statement that God made about fallen man.
Genesis 11:6 (KJV)
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
If this is the potential of fallen man, what is the potential of a redeemed man? Through the trickery, the deception, of the devil, the world, and the Church the potential of an individual Christian has never been achieved. The Church has dumbed us down with the traditions of men which are without power, and the doctrine of devils which is also without power. The devil is elated with an impotent Church, a Church always hoping that a great move of God is just around the corner. God moves through obedient (people who love Him) people. God does not move independent of His people; a move of God is always activated by the obedience of His people. Let’s consider the following Scripture.
Ephesians 3:17-20 (KJV)
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Every bit of our knowledge of the redemption brought by Christ must dominate our thoughts without doubt. When we look at Christ we see the Messiah and all that salvation is, we see the Anointed One who showed us how to be Anointed ones doing what He did and the greater things, and we see the Holy Spirit Himself the Power of God. This knowledge must be unshakeable in our reliance upon it. Remember that faith works or is powered by love. Love is obedience to the Word of God, it is selflessness in our walk before God, and it is observance of the Blood Covenant. God has given us to know the depth of our potential but we are too weighted down with life to pay attention, to study and appropriate all of it into our lives. Most are stuck at the “I’m going to Heaven” stage of development. Knowing the love of Christ is to experience His obedience to His Own Words as it concerns us and others. Remember we are not going to see the performance of the Word in our lives in disobedience. Whatever we can think to ask does not even scratch the potential of the Power that dwells within us. Why are we such sluggards? We are living like worms in the dirt or beggars in the street when we are kings and priests of the Most High God. Our wealth, health, and ministry should be most notable and widely known. Are we less than Abraham, Isaac, or the children of Israel who came out of Egypt?
Genesis 12:2 (KJV)
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
Genesis 13:2 (KJV)
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
Genesis 26:12-14 (KJV)
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
Psalm 105:37 (KJV)
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
They appropriated all these things by faith, what is the deal with us. As I said before, the world, the devil, and the Church (especially the Church) has dumbed us down and destroyed faith and love but corrupting the meaning of Bible love and teaching that faith does not always work. We must awake and repent of our sin, arise casting down the high places, and walk in triumph before the Most High God and the world. Nothing is impossible to us and nothing can by any means hurt us!
Until our next publication, I speak this Scriptural prayer for your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
