A NEW BEGINNING
Monday – May 22, 2017

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior from The Three Minute Word publications. Another day to mature as a son or mature to become a son for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God. God is so good. We are on Heaven’s assignment in the earth. We are here for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God (our kingdom as well) principally to play our part to see that people are reconciled to our Heavenly Father. Hell is too hot and too long for anyone to go therefore we must be diligent to be in our place.
Those that follow The Three Minute Word on a regular basis know that we finished the Book of Ephesians last Friday and now we will have a new beginning. That new beginning will be a study of the Book of Hebrews. Hebrews is the nineteenth book of the New Testament. Nineteen according to Bible Numerology is the number of faith and Hebrews is perhaps best known for the faith chapter or faith Hall of Fame (chapter eleven). Interestingly enough eleven is the number of alignment. True Bible faith can only be exercised and become manifest when we are in alignment with the Word of God, with God Himself. Our faith in God and the faith of God imparted to us is intimately intertwined and inseparable from Bible hope. Apart from God’s authorship of the Book of Hebrews the human writer is not known.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Many believe that the Apostle Paul is the human author of this Book and I have heard one say that God told him that Paul was the human author. I am not going to speculate as to who God used to bring us the Book of Hebrews other than to say I do not believe it was Brother Paul. I think as we delve into the Book you will see that the Book neither starts nor ends in the typical Pauline fashion. The human author is certainly one that is intimate with the religious heritage and culture of the Hebrews (Jews). God is establishing with this people, through whom Jesus came, the redemption of all. The validity of this new Blood Covenant was ratified eternally by Jesus The Son of God by His sacrifice and resurrection with restoration, and now Jew and Gentile alike have a common Savior who is the remedy for sin. His precious Blood blots out sin for all time whereas the Old Blood Covenant was temporary and had to be repeated annually (Leviticus 16 and 23) – Day of Atonement).
Before we tackle the Book of Hebrews I want to talk a little about the trail of blood that started in the Garden of Eden and ended at the Mercy Seat of the Most Holy Place in Heaven. In short I will be talking about blood covenant and more specifically The Blood Covenant (New Testament). There is a lot of talk about the Blood of Jesus in the Church but almost no understanding of the Covenant that required the shedding of His precious Blood. Blood Covenant was well understood by the Hebrews and many ancient peoples. It is my understanding that blood covenant is practiced even to this day in parts of the world.
There are many types of covenants (agreements, contracts, treaties, promises, pledges, bonds, pacts, and conventions) however the most binding is the blood covenant. Understanding our part in The Blood Covenant is integral to our operation in love. Bible love, Greek transliterated to English as agape or agapeo, is obedience to the Word of God (and leadership of the Holy Spirit), selflessness, and full recognition and the exercise of our part in The Blood Covenant. I would like to point out three sources of more information on this topic of The Blood Covenant. I have pictured the covers of these books below. The E. W. Kenyon book is especially informative (as are all his books).
First let’s start at the beginning of the trail of blood. The shedding of innocent blood or of the participating parties (usually two) is necessary to seal a contract, a covenant, between the parties. The two parties we are focused on are God and mankind, a holy alliance if you will. Of course there are many blood covenants between natural persons and those were sealed or put in motion by the shedding and frequently the mixing of the blood of the parties. This cutting and shedding of blood would leave a scar and this mark was evidence that a blood covenant was in effect. You and I brother and sister are stamped with a seal by the Holy Spirit the moment we embraced this Covenant (made Jesus Savior and Lord).
Ephesians 1:13 (AMP)
13 In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
