A WELL OF TRUTH
IGNORANCE
Greetings dear friends and partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International and welcome back to “A WELL OF TRUTH”. This blog is “A” well of Truth, not “THE” well of Truth. I am drawing from The Well of Truth each week to share with those who have ears to hear what the Spirit says. As we move forward, please take a moment to share this teachings as widely as possible. Thank you for sharing. You who share are a vital part of this Ministry and the Kingdom of God.
Perhaps you have heard the saying that “ignorance is no excuse under the law”. This is referring to the laws of the land. Where did this idea come from? It came from God. Everything in the earth originated with God, His Words. All things have been affected by the curse that came as a result of sin. Walking in the blessing or curse depends on whose voice we listen to and follow. Know of a certainty that ignorance of God’s thoughts, words, and ways does not prevent the works of darkness in our lives.
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Rejecting knowledge (of God) is an open invitation to our enemies (spiritual, we do not war against flesh and blood) and they bring only stealing, killing, and destroying (John 10:10) into our lives (at our invitation). When we reject God’s revelation knowledge in any area by default we have accepted, turned aside to the ways, the words, of the world (devils). This is a willful ignorance not an ignorance due to having not attained a certain level of spiritual maturity. When one is working, being diligent, to walk in the ways of the Lord there is much mercy and grace. God knows the heart and one (you and me) must be pressing forward in the ways of God not being slothful. However, when we knowingly turn aside to other words, we remove God’s legal authority to express mercy and grace at the prior level. As an aside, the mercy and Grace of God is functioning everyone’s life on the planet otherwise the devil would have killed everyone long ago. God is the Judge and sets the limits for the demons (curse).
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
The best course of action is that we be intentionally pressing into God to grow and excel in the call, the Anointing upon us to accomplish all of our part (assignment) in the Kingdom of God. For further insights let’s look first at Leviticus and then 1st John.
Leviticus 4:27-30 (KJV)
27 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;
28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.
29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
30 And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Notice that the one who sins is the one who kills the sin offering not the priest. Dear ones, we are the ones who killed Christ as the sacrifice for our sins. The offering is necessary whether the person becomes aware of the sin from another or discover they are sinning themselves. Now, let’s see this in the New Testament.
1 John 1:6-9 (KJV)
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Verses six, eight, and nine have to do with walking in known sin, known to us. Verse nine is the wonderful news concerning talking to God about it, confessing it to Him, asking forgiveness, and receiving that forgiveness. That process shuts the door to the devils, to the curse. We will still need to deal with the stealing, killing, and destroying that was legally allowed in by our rebellion. The good news is this, God is in the restoration business, not to a former condition, but to a far better position. Verse seven above is the person striving to walk as God walks and stays in the light they have and is benefited by great mercy and Grace. Now, do not think this is some sort of permanent condition. The Lord will bring our sin to our attention, then we are no longer ignorant, we then chose to repent or walk in rebellion. What have we chosen?

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
