ACCESS TO THE FATHER
Thursday – November 17, 2016

Greetings from Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication. The picture above is an example of fall in Maine, a beautiful time of year. I always enjoy these shots with some boggy areas with the color. The hill in the distance is Mt. Nebo but not the one Moses climbed to look over into the Promised Land before his death.
Deuteronomy 32:49-50 (KJV)
49 Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
50 And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
How did Aaron die?
Numbers 33:38-39 (KJV)
38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
39 And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
Did I miss the part about them dying after a long illness or a sudden illness? No, the choice to die is ours and whether we realize it or not we set the course of our life and our death by the thoughts of our mind and the words of our mouth. God does not ‘take’ people home, we surrender to physical death and then we are gathered to our people, gathered home. Back to Ephesians.
Ephesians 2:15-18 (KJV)
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Jesus was made sin upon the Cross and the wages of sin is death, so like Adam Jesus’ spirit man died first then the physical. At that moment the partition between Gentile and Jew, as well as Gentile and God was torn down and both Jew and Gentile could enter into the Most Holy Place by the Blood. This new man is the born again believer, the new creation in Christ Jesus. The Jews who have not accepted Jesus as Messiah remain a distinct group, the Gentiles who have not accepted Messiah are also a distinct group, and the Church of God who have accepted the Messiah are a distinct group. The Jews were the ones with a covenant and are the ones referred to as near and the Gentiles are those referred to as afar off. The cherry on the cream on the top of the cake is verse eighteen.
Ephesians 2:18 (KJV)
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Through him who, through Christ Jesus!
Ephesians 2:13 (KJV)
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
The Father now has a family that He can bring real close as we do our children. This is all facilitated by the Holy Spirit who quickens and makes alive when we believe. O’ the Blood of Jesus.
Romans 8:14-15 (KJV)
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
We dear saints are not in bondage to the fear of death, we have eternal life and very soon will have an eternal, incorruptible (uncorrupted) body. We have a Father, we are in Him and share (joint-heirs) all of the privileges of the first born Son from the dead, the Lord Jesus Christ.
