ALL THINGS ARE OF GOD
Tuesday – March 28, 2017

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from The Three Minute Word publication. Before I move into our Bible Study be reminded to pray for this Covenant Nation, the United States of America. Do not be dismayed by the day to day on the news, but focus on God. Declare that where there has been unrighteousness there is now righteousness in Jesus name for the glory of God to advance the Kingdom of God in the whole earth.
Ephesians 6:10-13 (KJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
As we can see from our text this armour is God’s and we are commanded to put it on so that we can be busy about our Kingdom assignments. Please do not interpret my use of the word ‘busy’ to mean right out straight. Think of it in the context of our being focused on and carrying out the will of God for our lives which our Lord Himself says is easy and light. Notice that the purpose of the armour is so we are able to stand against the wiles, not the power, but the treacheries of the devil. The devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. He is not sent of God to teach us something. The devil does not come so that God can work something out in our lives, no! The devil is trying to kill us! Before we move on into the armour of God I want to spend some time with this phrase “of God”. All things in the Kingdom of God for the believer are of God so you can see this is a huge perhaps infinite topic or potential number of things and ideas.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Let’s consider the concept of the Kingdom of God which we enter upon salvation. We leave darkness and enter the light leaving the kingdoms of this world which are manipulated by the master manipulator, the devil and his crowd. I think sometimes we or others tend to think of the Kingdom of God as analogous to Heaven. In the Book of Matthew the Kingdom of God is called the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Heaven includes Heaven and the persons who are born again in the earth and their stuff. Our Father wants us to have stuff that is much like His stuff in Heaven. His children, especially the sons of God, should have nothing but the top of the line stuff available in this earth.
You have no doubt seen pictures of the homes of various people including our President and his residence in Trump Tower. All of our houses should be of that quality and nothing less. God is not holding out, we have allowed ourselves to be taken in by the wiles of the devil and poverty preaching. Let me remind each of us that our focus is not Trump Tower but the Lord Jesus Christ and then all these things will be added.
Our text in 2 Corinthians tells us that all things are of God. The least important ‘things’ are the physical things (temporal things), and the most important things whether they be evil or holy are the spiritual (eternal). When we choose evil we spend eternity in Hell, when we choose holy we spend eternity in the Kingdom of God. All things spiritual or physical are directly connected with our thoughts and words. Words are spiritual and bring either the profane or the holy into our lives. All physical things have their origin in the spiritual realm and that was originally with God. All spiritual realities (Heaven or Hell) also started with God. Hell was originated for the devil and those angels we followed him in his rebellion against God (Matthew 25:41). When man sinned, rebelled against God then Hell became the eternal home of the unrepentant sinner as well. We have this brief time as freewill creatures upon the earth to decide between Heaven or Hell, God or the devil, which one have we chosen?
The Kingdom of God originated with God, the Triune God, and is now every bit as much ours as theirs. Recall that Jesus is heir of all, all things have been put in His hands, and we are joint heirs with Him, children of God, and with maturity sons of God. This is a wonderful thing and to some extent beyond natural comprehension. Aren’t you glad we are not dependent only on natural comprehension but we have access to the mind of Christ? Tomorrow I will pick up with a discussion of a few of the things that are of God.

Remember that I have published two books recently. First was the
book titled “Temptation – The Battle for our Thoughts”. Perhaps this book will illuminate temptation in ways you have not imagined. Second is the book titled “And God Said – The Creator’s Provision”. This book illuminates the will of God from the beginning. These books are available at Amazon Books.
