THE THREE MINUTE WORD

CALLED BY MY NAME
Greetings dear children of our Heavenly Father and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. Thank you for sharing. We are pursuing the Truths of this wonderful Bible Book with all of our hearts. This is not to be a casual information gathering time but a time when we make His thoughts ours, His Words ours, and His ways ours. I know you have been told over and over perhaps that His ways are not our ways and so on but dear ones that is not what the full counsel of Scripture tells us who worship God. We will cover this in great detail when we get to Isaiah chapter 55 but suffice to say now, He made us in His image, His likeness, and of the same kind (God class) to have His thoughts, His Words, and do things His way.
The featured picture today is to remind us of the seven pillars of society (Proverbs 9:1) and to pray for them on a regular basis. Remember, we are not begging God to do something about the messes in the earth. He has delegated all authority in the earth to us, His children, according to His will (it’s in the Bible). When will we in our personal life, our family life, our community, and nation exercise our God given authority? Have you wondered why things are going from bad to worse? We, the people of God, the ones with the authority to bind wickedness and loose righteousness have been sitting on our hands begging God to do our part. Not going to happen dear ones. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Isaiah 43:4-7 (KJV)
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Last week I left off talking about verse five above and the symbolism of the Messiah and the Tabernacle which also spoke of the coming Messiah. Beyond the ‘seed’ being Jesus, the coming Messiah, we also see the gathering of the scattered children of Israel. Some may see this as the gathering of all God’s children, particularly the Church. However, this gathering is directly linked with ‘thy seed’ therefore I think this Scripture is referring to the natural children of Abraham, the Jews. Revelation chapter seven discusses this gathering together of the natural children of Israel out of the Great Tribulation. The seed of Abraham is none less than the Messiah (Jesus the Christ) whose coming was a blessing to all mankind.
As we move into verse seven, we hear the Lord saying that those who are called by His name were created for His glory. Remember the glory of God is the manifested goodness of God. So, when we look at one born again in Christ Jesus we are seeing the glory, the goodness of God. If were could see, were given a glimpse into the spirit realm we would be awed by the glory. Listen to the Psalmist.
Psalm 8:4-6 (KJV)
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
The word translated as ‘angels’ in verse seven is ʾelōhîm the pleural name for God Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. We were created just a little lower than God Himself and crowned with glory and honor. In addition, we were given dominion (authority) over the works of God hands which are the Holy Spirit and Holy Angels. Most of you don’t dare say that out loud. Is it Bible or not? Remember, we are new creatures or creations in Christ Jesus according to 2nd Corinthians 5:17, our spirit man is resurrected just like Jesus’ on Resurrection morning. Just as our God is at once one and three (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) so are we at once one and three (spirit, soul, and body). Thank you ʾelōhîm for making us in your image, likeness, and of like kind.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Bold added)
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
