FAITH, HOPE, AND CHARITY
Monday – February 4, 2019, Sh’vat 29, 5779

Greetings dear saints of the only Living God and welcome back to this powerful and faith bringing Bible Study of the Book of John. Remember, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
When the Word of God is heard faith always comes and at that point, we make a decision, each one of us, as to what we will do with that Word. When the Word of God is heard the capacity for spiritual hearing is enhanced and we make the decision as to what we will do with that enhanced hearing and the faith that is at hand for our use in the Kingdom of God. Our brother the Apostle James tells us that faith without works is dead and I might add, so is works without the God kind of faith dead.
James 2:17-20 (KJV)
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
The works being spoken of here is the confession or declaration (saying what the Word says) of our mouth with no perverse language (doubt, saying things other than the Word) and the appropriate corresponding actions. The Word of God is the origin of our hopes, those things that God made certain for the children of God at Calvary. They are certain for those who will choose to obtain them by faith. A hope may be finances, health, children, ministry, a help-meet, or other things given us in our Blood Covenant with the Father in Christ Jesus. The foundation upon which both hope and faith rest is Godly love (agape).
1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV)
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Charity which is Godly love (agape) gets to the heart of our motivations. This is something I try to assess in my life very often and Holy Spirit sometimes reminds me or asks me about my motivations. When He (Holy Spirit) asks me, it is generally because they (my motivations) are not right so I know some repentance and a change of my mind is at hand. He does not and will not change my mind or motivations, I must do it in accordance with the Word by faith. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of John reading it aloud.
John 6:63-66 (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
I will be continuing the teaching that Jesus provided to the crowd in the synagogue that day and to us today. Jesus has been talking about the natural and the spiritual (supernatural) simultaneously. Showing them and us that the truths in the natural were first true in the spirit realm. Nothing exists in the natural that did not have its origins in the spirit whether it be good or bad. Everything in my life and yours, in our personal life, exists solely due to our thoughts, words, and actions in which we had faith. Of course, the thoughts, words, and actions of those around us can have a very significant impact on us because we love them but it cannot unless we allow it to impact our personal life. That is to say we can be safe and secure in the midst of terrible storms around about us even in the same house. How much it affects us depends upon how much space and focus we give other people’s storms and allow it into our life. Of course, some of these storms can change the natural course of one’s life like when a spouse dies but it does not change the spiritual course of one’s life. However, never think or believe that your overall source of victory personally and for the Kingdom is tied except tangentially and temporarily to another, even a husband or wife.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
