FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH – PART EIGHT
Greetings precious saints of God, brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to Friday Nuggets. I am currently dealing with the Fruit of our spirit. For several weeks I have been dealing with the fruit of faith and today is part eight of that series. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means at your disposal. Thank you so much for sharing, you are important to us but more importantly to the Kingdom of God. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for this study and continue to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
For several weeks I have been dealing with the fruit of our spirit and for seven, this is the eighth, weeks the fruit of faith. I have noted many times that these fruits do not stand alone. For example, faith works by love.
Galatians 5:6 (KJV)
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Love which is obedience to Scripture, a selfless lifestyle/attitude, and living the Blood Covenant, has a vital role in the other eight fruit. Patience is pretty meager without faith or a disciplined mind (temperance), and so on.
James 1:3-4 (KJV)
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
See the intertwining of the fruits of faith and patience and above love? We are far from done when we say the sinner’s prayer and none of it happens automatically. Just as faith without works is dead don’t you know that any of the fruit without works is dead?
A measure of each of the nine fruits is present in our spirit man at the resurrection (quickening, salvation) of our spirit man. As I finish for today let’s review what many consider the premier teaching on faith presented by the Master Himself.
Mark 11:22-26 (KJV)
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
