HE MADE THE WORLDS
Thursday – June 1, 2017

Greetings and blessings from Patti and me here at The Three Minute Word publications. Welcome back to the Bible Study taken from the Book of Hebrews. The photo is of a beautiful stream right here in Oakland Maine. Now let’s turn to our primary text and determine in our heart that His Word is our Word and the Word of God occupies the highest place and is first place in our thinking.
Hebrews 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Yesterday we explored the Truth that Jesus upon His resurrection from the dead was appointed heir of all things by the Father. Then we discovered that as children of God, sons (male and female) of God we are joint-heirs with Christ Jesus. Unlike an ordinary, natural, estate where the assets are subdivided among the heirs, in the Kingdom of God as joint-heirs we also have been appointed heir of all things. Hopefully, you will recall from our discussion last week of Blood Covenant that two components of this Covenant are that there is equality between the parties and there is equal access to the assets of the other party. Our assets are available for God’s use and God’s assets are available for our use. Aside from the obvious disparity in our favor this is critical to both of us (God and us) to accomplish the full will of God in the earth.
As we transition into the topic of Jesus making the worlds let us remember, know, that all things physical existed first in the spiritual realm. The ideas for the physical things or spiritual things (higher plane) are spiritual as are the words that bring them into spiritual or physical manifestation. For example our mansion in Heaven is being prepared for us by Jesus (John 14:2), in response to the Words of His mouth. The Holy Spirit is the power that responds to the Words of Jesus mouth (and ours) and makes our mansion a reality. Whatever exists in our natural lives here in the earth has come about by the same process which is the product of our thoughts, words, and ways (actions). The more Godly our thoughts, words, and actions the wealthier, healthier, and the more productive we will be for the Kingdom of God. This information should give us pause because when we look at our finances, our health, and our accomplishments for the Kingdom of God they are darkness in the light of what Jesus did for the Kingdom. Jesus said we were to operate on the same level as He did as a starting place, and then we would accomplish the greater things which it was not legal for Him. O how we are fallen, how great is our darkness?
Now let us look at this natural creation. From the very first verse of the Holy Bible we find that all three facets of God were at work in the creation.
Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The word ‘God’ in this first verse of the Bible is the Hebrew word transliterated to English as ‘ʾelōhîm’ according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. This word ʾelōhîm is pleural. From this based on the full counsel of Scripture we conclude that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were involved in the original creation of this earth. At that time the Father was Jehovah and the Son was the Word. In the very next we find that something terrible has happened leaving the earth, the whole of creation a mess. That mess came about with the rebellion of Lucifer and his casting to the earth.
Genesis 1:2 (KJV)
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
As we examine Genesis 1:2 we can see that the Spirit of God is present in the earth but inactive, He is waiting for the Word of God. He does not move independent of a voice, the voice of Jesus or the voice of a believer. Next, ʾelōhîm speaks.
Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
The idea for the light was the Jehovah’s, the voice to activate the Power of God (Holy Spirit) was that of the Word (Jesus), and the One who caused the physical formation of light from the stuff of the spiritual realm was the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
It is our obligation to believe, have faith, that the worlds were framed by the Word of God (Jesus) however this is not saying that. This is referencing the first hero of the faith Hall of Fame which is the Word of God, Jesus. The Word of God by faith or through faith framed the worlds and these worlds which we can see and touch are made of substances we cannot see, the substances of the spirit realm.
Revelation 4:11 (KJV)
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
The use of the word ‘pleasure’ in the preceding text would make it seem that God made the worlds as toys, something to play with, something for self-gratification or indulgence. That is not the case at all, it is simply an old English use of the word meaning ‘will’ as in the ‘will of God’. We see this clearly from the following Amplified translation.
Revelation 4:11 (AMP)
11 Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and dominion, for You created all things; by Your will they were [brought into being] and were created.
We are very fortunate indeed to be a part of that will, that creation for we are made to be eternal without corruption having and enjoying a life of unexplainable happiness, joy, and productivity. We have a wonderful family, our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, however beyond that we have a Daddy who is beyond description, a Brother (Jesus) to teach us the ways of God forever, and we have the constant companionship of the Holy Spirit. O what a God, O what a life!
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
