HE THAT BELIEVETH
Monday – January 21, 2019, Sh’vat 15, 5779

Greetings and welcome back to this Bible Study of the Book of John precious saints of God. The featured pictures this week are of the ruins of five of the Churches found today in modern day Turkey and were addressed by Jesus in the Book of Revelation. Todays shows the ruins of the Church at Ephesus. These are not chosen in any particular order so do not read too much into their appearance on a particular day. The Church today as a whole is terribly broken and in ruins. Dear saints of God it is our responsibility to identify what called such a great fall and rebuild. Until we do, we are preventing the return of Christ. If He were to return today the casualty rate would be way to high, that is the ones not taken to Heaven and eventually end up in Hell by their choices before and after the Catching Away of the Church (Ecclesia). Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading it aloud to get it in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears.
John 6:46-52 (KJV)
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
As you will recall we left off last week with verse forty-six and the idea of who has seen the Father. No natural man has seen the Father at any time. By that I am saying that no flesh and blood person has seen Father God at any time. The Old Testament saints taken to Heaven at the Resurrection of Christ Jesus have likely seen the Father, and those spirits of just men made perfect referred to in Hebrews most likely have also seen the Father. Those of us who know Jesus as Lord and Savior and are immersed in the Word of God have also seen the Father in a figure.
John 14:8-9 (KJV)
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Of course, the preceding passage is companion with John 6:46 above. Now, Jesus goes on to tell those listening that day and us today that if we will believe on Him, we have everlasting life. To believe on Him is to have faith in Him. This belief, this faith, is an unwavering persuasion, a belief that does not stagger, it is knowing that what is written is the only possible outcome for us. So long as we entertain alternative outcomes, we are of two minds and will not achieve the best of God, the will of God. Listen to brother James.
James 1:6-8 (KJV)
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
I don’t know about you but I have had unstable up to here (waving my hand over my head). Notice that the double minded man (or woman) does not receive anything of the Lord. Whatever we end up with is of our own works which is generally a far cry from the best of God. I for one want the best of God! Jesus went to Calvary and paid for the best however it is up to you and me to appropriate it into our lives. We do that by finding the Word that covers the particular thing and then we decree it in the name of Jesus and never turn from that confession (saying what the Word says).
Job 22:28 (KJV)
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
When will we quit begging God to give us stuff, He has already paid for and given us some two-thousand years ago? Let us believe what He has said in our hearts and confess it with our mouth and receive it by faith with thanksgiving. Scripture says that when we do that, we shall have it. In any event we will have what we believe. What do we have, the truth is that what we have is what we have believed and do believe! Rather sobering don’t you think?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
