HEALTH, HEALING, AND MIRACLES – PART TWO
Sunday – March 18, 2018 – Nisan 2, 5778
Welcome back to this wonderful faith building series on Health, Healing, and Miracles. These things are entirely in our hand. It is my belief that if you have and are studying my series “A Thorn in the Flesh” which is ongoing you are well prepared for this series. The most important thing that prepares any of us for this series is a burning hunger deep within that will not be quenched until we are like Him. There are those that believe that will not happen in a million years, but dear deceived one that is not Bible. The disciple is to become as the Master in this lifetime (Matthew 10:25). An even more astonishing Scripture is the following one.
1 John 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Brother and sister our obligation is not to doubt the Scripture but to embrace it and ask Him, ask the Holy Spirit (THE TEACHER) to lead us into all the Truth for His sake and to always be pleasing to the Father. We chose faith, we chose to discard unbelief, to absolutely cast it down, and to speak with all boldness in the name of Jesus. We are to step fully into our capacity as sons of the living God. Sons of God are those who are builders, owners, creators, repairers, and obtain children (spiritual) for the Kingdom of God. Never ever forget, if we do not do it, it will not get done! The children of God operate through the various gifts of the Spirit, operate in part not in the full as did Jesus in the earth. We are to mature and walk as Jesus walked.
2 Peter 1:3-4 (ESV)
3 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
Just marinate in these verses for a few minutes, resist the temptation to rush on, that is the voice of the enemy, be still and hear what the Lord says. Starting with verse three we find that He has granted (not effort on our part) all (what is excluded? Nothing!) that pertains to life and godliness. We are to have abundance of all things (primarily wealth and health) in this earth and we are to function as He functions! This occurs by one way, and one way only, and that is through the knowledge of Him. Furthermore, verse three goes on to say that we are to be known for our goodness and our excellence. When we enter verse four we find that when we have the knowledge of His precious and great promises it is our responsibility to step into them. How do we do that? By expelling all unbelief, having faith, and boldly declaring the promises of God. When we take possession of the promises of God we are partakers of the Divine nature and have escaped the corruption of the world. This occurs through the renewing of the mind that we may know the perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The word “prove” in verse two also can be translated to mean allow, approve, or discern. Are we allowing the Word of God to change us? Are we approving the Word of God or are we questioning it and bending it to our carnal thinking? Are we practicing in all that we see and hear everyday how it aligns with the Word of God? Health is a sons’ lifestyle, healing and miracles is necessary for the children. The word “transformed” can also be translated as transfigured. We are to be transfigured into the very image of Jesus. We are a new creation in Christ Jesus, again created in the image and likeness of God. We are of like kind with our creator, our spiritual DNA is His DNA. Our physical DNA is seriously corrupted but the Word of God will correct that as we carry out our missions for the Kingdom of God in the earth. Thinking back to our Scripture from Second Peter, just how much sickness and disease do you suppose God has or for that matter any other created creature in Heaven, or any saint that has gone on to be with the Lord? I will save you some time, ZERO! The maintenance of health is mine and if I need it healing is mine in Jesus name. All sickness and disease is under the curse and I am not under the curse, I am a partaker of the Blessing, the Divine nature. Thank you, Jesus!
