HOW LONG WILL WE BE SLACK?
Monday – February 10, 2020, Sh’vat 15, 5780
Greetings dear brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to this life changing Bible Study of the Book of John. We are to live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.
Deuteronomy 8:3 (KJV)
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. (Bold added)
The words of other people in the Bible and my words in this teaching are to provide an example or interpretive insight but the most powerful words far and away are the words from the mouth of God. Keep in mind there is much in all the Bible (all 66 books) which is not directly or expressly attributed as coming directly from the mouth of God but are recognized as divine utterance. For example, the epistles of the New Testament through various men of God for example the Apostle Paul or Peter. Always know who is talking and who they are talking too. With regard to the featured pictures I am taking a break from the winter scenes and will have some fall scenes this week. The people here in Maine have probably had all the winter they want for one year. Now, let’s give our full attention to our primary Bible text for today by reading it aloud.
John 14:29-31 (KJV)
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
As you will recall Jesus is just a few hours from the Cross and He is filling these disciples to overflowing with information for them then and for us now. They were not able to digest it, understand it all, spiritually for they were not born again. However, it served them well as it serves us well after the Resurrection. As I have mentioned many times, they were very carnal in their thinking. The carnal realm is a much lower natural realm rather than the supernatural realm and subject to the supernatural or spiritual realm. Unfortunately, as we look at the Church today not much has changed in spite of being saved and having the spiritual capacity to understand all things, and having the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 John 2:20 (KJV)
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
Adam was of like kind with God and could talk to Him about anything and understand anything. As you can see mankind went downhill seriously from there, we are now on the rebound at the end of the age. However, many Christians are very reluctant to refer to the preceding two Scriptures as being a reality in their lives. Until we receive them, believe them, and act on them we will stay dumbed down and an easy target for the deceptions of devils. Do we believe the following Scripture?
Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Is anything left out of “all things”? How long will we be slack dear ones? When will we get this show on the road and possess the fulness of the promised land, all that Jesus paid for at Calvary? He paid for us to have access to everything good, nothing excluded that is good. Why do we remain financially poor and sick? For the most part we are not hearing the Kingdom of God preached, we are not hearing and building our faith and therefore not bringing the provision of our God into our lives. The provision of God is overflowing, it is never not enough or just enough (in our obedience) it is copious. Our focus is to be on God and the advancement of the Kingdom of God and not what God can do for us. Our focus must be on what can we do for God today. Yes, God needs us in the earth! What He can and will do for us will follow obedience, done in faith and love (agape). Again, I ask how long will we be slack? If our pastors will not preach it, let’s preach it to ourselves! I’ll get back to our text tomorrow Lord willing.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
