AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

KING OF THE JEWS
Greetings dear and precious friends and partners as we enter Christmas week. Welcome to this ongoing Bible Study of the Book of John. God is so good to us. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of the Truth. The featured picture is of a Mourning Dove landing in our back yard earlier in the fall. This was captured on one of our game camera’s. These types of pictures always remind me of the dove that descended upon Jesus to Anoint Him for His earthly Ministry and the return of the Holy Spirit into the whole earth on the Day of Pentecost, 50 days (Jubilee) after the Resurrection. I find it quite amazing that the text we are dealing with in this Christmas season is the Crucifixion of our Savior. The sacrificial Lamb of God, not that God needed a sacrifice for any sin He committed but we, mankind, desperately needed forgiveness and restoration (for all who will choose) to the family of God. Why someone would choose darkness is beyond me today, however there was a time when I too choose darkness. You might be thinking this is not Resurrection Sunday week but Christmas. Jesus did not come to be a cute little tike in a manger (although no doubt He was) but THE sacrificial Lamb. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 19:19-22 (KJV)
19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.
20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.
21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.
Although the Roman Governor Pilate repeatedly said that he found no fault worthy of death in Jesus, he treated Jesus with exceptional cruelty and then turns Jesus over for crucifixion. The inscription that Pilate put above Jesus head on the Cross is the charge for which He was crucified. He, Jesus, was rightly declared to be of Nazareth and to be King of the Jews. This was ordained from the times of old. See the following passages.
Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
The preceding passage is a wonderful part of Scripture and we could talk about it for quite some time. To stay with our text and of course the theme of the teaching, I will be brief. In verse six we see that “the government shall be upon his shoulder”. Jesus is the head and the Church is the Anointed body of Christ. The shoulders are in the body and directed of the Head. Government of God is the Church in the earth now, and of the Kingdom of God falls forever. Notice, there will be no end of the government of our Lord and King Christ Jesus. There is to be no end of the Throne of David (natural Jewish people upon the earth going into the Millennial reign) nor upon His Kingdom, the Church (believing Jews and heathen).
Jeremiah 30:7-9 (KJV)
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
We see clearly that King David of old will be raised up as a king to rule Israel (Jacob). Like all of us, King David will rule at the direction of Jesus, the Lord of hosts. Now, let’s take a look at what the Archangel Gabriel said to the virgin Mary.
Luke 1:31-33 (KJV)
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Jesus the “Son of the Highest” will rule not only over the Church but the “house of Jacob for ever”. The charge that Pilate sent Jesus to the Cross for was true and remains true for eternity. The charge the Jews sent Jesus to the Cross for was for being “the Son of God” which was also true and will be forever true.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
