LAZARUS COME FORTH
Thursday – August 1, 2019, Tamuz 29, 5779

Greetings precious people of God and welcome back to this powerful and empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “love” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of this Ministry. Thank you for valuing the Word of God. The featured pictures this week are various artist depictions of the Ministry of Jesus and this account of the raising of Lazarus. As usual on Friday is a picture of Donna and me the leaders of this Ministry. Now, let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study by reading the primary text aloud.
John 11:41-44 (KJV)
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
As those gathered are rolling the stone away which sealed the place of Lazarus’ burial Jesus speaks to the Father for the benefit of the people. It is obvious that He and the Father had already spoken on this matter and He (Jesus) was fully aligned with the Father. Have we asked the Father in advance to show us things proactively or are we reactionary?
Isaiah 45:11 (KJV)
11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
Yep, it says what it says, ask, He will show, and then you command or give a decree, and then and only then will His Hands (angels, Holy Spirit) move to accomplish it. No different than in the Ministry of Jesus in the earth. No different than from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. Like it or not, these are God’s rules (laws). As Jesus is talking to the Father it is in the past tense. Jesus was not saying these things for His benefit but for the benefit of those gathered. It appears to me that Jesus is referencing not only what He is saying contemporaneously but in verses 23-25, and verse 40 above. He wants them all to have the clear understanding that He is there for one reason and one reason only and that was by the command of the Father. Jesus and the Father wants them, to understand that Jesus is the sent One (Messiah) and that He is one with the Father. Then comes forth the loud cry from the mouth of the Resurrection and the Life, “Lazarus, come forth”! Can you remember the day when your faith in Christ Jesus ignited the Anointing and Jesus shouted from the Throne of Heaven, “[your name] come forth!” and you burst out of darkness into His marvelous light. O what a day dear saint! When we changed from Satan as our father to Father God who is love, to a Kingdom which is nothing but goodness, and were given a home in Heaven not Hell.
Jesus commands that the graveclothes be removed for Lazarus (and us) which bound him hand and foot. Wow, our graveclothes have been removed and we are no longer a captive of Satan but now a child of the only living God. Jesus commanded that Lazarus be loosed and He commanded that we be loosed when we turned our heart to Him. The Holy Spirit, the Anointing, was given unto Jesus and from the Day (Feast) of Pentecost in the Book of Acts to this day and forever we also have the very same Anointing and the very same mission.
Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Rejoice my friends, we are not serving a God of bondage or suffering of any kind (except temptations) but of freedom and abundance. And, again, I say rejoice!
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
