LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATE INIQUITY
Tuesday – June 20, 2017

As we start this Bible Study let us not be stingy with our thanksgiving, our praise, nor our worship of the one and only God who has provided us with complete redemption and restoration. The alternative was eternity in Hell or perhaps Abraham’s Bosom. Abraham’s Bosom (Luke 16:22) was way better than Hell but still not the fullness God envisioned for His children. I have once again posted a geographic picture of these United States as a way of reminding us all to pray for our nation. We need to be thanking God for America’s Covenant with Him. A very bright light is shining into the very dark places of our government revealing the true nature (their father is the devil) of many in government. Speak (decree) a shield of impenetrable light around about our righteous leaders. Now let’s pickup our Bible Study from the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 1:7-11 (KJV)
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
Yesterday I left off our study talking about the fact that the sceptre of the Kingdom of God is righteousness. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (in Him). This position of right standing with God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) puts us in a place where all of the Kingdom of God is available to us. What will we do with this wonderful gift? Let the following passage of Scripture just soak in and become a part of our thinking changing each of us forever.
Romans 5:17-21 (KJV)
17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
There was absolutely nothing we could do to obtain restoration to God, the remedy lay with God Himself and glory to God He had a solution waiting in the wings for our redemption.
John 1:29 (KJV)
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
As we move into Hebrews 1:9 we see the Father affirming that the Son (Jesus) loved righteousness (right standing with the Father) and that He hated iniquity (sin). Iniquity (sin) is what destroyed righteousness (right standing) instantly in the Garden of Eden. On the Cross of Calvary, the Lamb of God hung and took our (was made sin) sin. He died spiritually and then physically (law of sin and death). He descended into Hell where He made an open show of the devil by His innocent Blood and the Words of His testimony. He then freed the captives of Abraham’s Bosom. By His Resurrection, and the taking of His Blood to the Mercy Seat of Heaven our righteousness is restored and that Blood (sealing the Covenant) forever speak of our righteousness before the Father. There is now no sudden spiritual death since that wonderful day. Each of us individually only need to declare Jesus as Lord and we are instantly out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of His Dear Son (Jesus). In that moment, in that instant we have Jesus’ righteousness, the righteousness of God, and are in right standing with the Father, with God.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Colossians 1:12-14 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Jesus loved righteousness, right standing, doing things the Fathers’ way with nothing in the way, nothing hindering His relationship with the Father. Do we love righteousness? Do we hate iniquity (sin immorality, heinousness, evil, injustice, crime, wickedness, or vice)? The word ‘love’ used in our text is the Bible word for the very highest love, God’s love. Many limit their definition of love to the level of the emotions, an emotional attachment, others will add some exercise of their will to maintain the relationship, however Godly love or Gods love at its core is obeying the Word of God, willingly obeying the conditions of the Covenant. Jesus so valued His relationship of righteousness (right standing) with the Father that He wanted all mankind to enjoy the same and was willing to do all that was necessary (to include ratifying the Blood Covenant) to obtain that for us all.
All sin, unrighteousness, is a failure of faith, love, and hope either unwittingly or knowingly. At the moment of sin (when we decided in our thought life) we abandoned God and adopted another god (fornication, adultery) and are no longer walking with our Heavenly Father. We receive or get what we believe and can see. If we choose to see (mind’s eye) and believe (faith) we are rich then we are rich in the spirit realm and that will manifest in the physical realm, in the same way if we can see and believe ourselves healed we are healed. There is no question that this and much more is the will of God for everyone. On the other hand, if we choose to have faith in the lie and see the lie in our life we will have that lie in our lives which will involve stealing, killing, and destroying. Will we choose to do the Word of God, follow the Master, to walk in perfect harmony with God hating sin or will we choose to allow our flesh to reason and rationalize us into iniquity? Will we choose to increase in the knowledge of our Father and the Lord Jesus or will we choose to remain ignorant and suffer defeat after defeat manifest as stealing, killing, and destroying in our lives?
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
