NO CLOKE FOR SIN
Thursday – April 23, 2020, Nisan 29, 5780

Greetings to all and welcome back to this powerful and instructive Bible Study of the Book of John. Are we really studying these Truths or are we looking at the pictures, scanning the material, and then moving on unmoved, unchanged? Over the preceding weeks you may have heard, said yourself, that is certainly time to get serious with God. Well, when was it not a time to be serious about the Word, about God? It has always been a time to take the Word of God very serious and make it first place in our lives, far in front and above all other thoughts, words, and people. The only way the Coronavirus was able to thrive is due to an impotent Church what was walking in disobedience. Now there will be those who are close to God and this pestilence will have no effect on them apart from some inconvenience. Only when we see the Word of God as the way to think, as the way to talk, and the way to behave, then and only then can we please God, love (agape) God, and love people. We cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6) and that Scripture is talking about having faith in God, not the world system, the traditions of men, or the doctrine of devils. The power of faith in God is love (agape). That love (agape) is the strength or power of faith and it is obedience to the Word of God. Let us throw ourselves entirely upon the Word of God not deviating from even one dot or tittle. If you are reading this on Facebook please hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and expand the reach of this one source of Truth. Now let’s read our primary Bible text aloud. Yes, yes, aloud!
John 15:20-23 (KJV)
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Let’s spend a little time with verse twenty-two today. Twenty-two is the number of light, anointed Word. Jesus was certainly the Anointed Word! Recall in John 1:1 we are told He was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. When He came into the earth, He was human flesh Anointed of God with the Holy Spirit and Power. He is commonly called Christ (Anointed) Jesus (Jehovah saved). In the King James Version of the Bible He is referred to as Christ Jesus fifty-eight times. Fifty is the number of Jubilee and also the Holy Spirit. In the year of Jubilee in Israel every man is returned to his family and gets his possessions back.
Leviticus 25:10 (KJV)
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
The Holy Spirit is the One who quickens our dead spirit and lives within us teachings us all things, leading us into all the Truth. Because of Jesus we are set at liberty from the captivity of the devil, we are returned to the family of God, and are once again joint owners with God of all. Eight is the number of new beginnings and the new birth is the most wonderful of new beginnings made possible by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
Now let’s turn our attention more directly to the idea of “no cloke for their sin”. First what is the meaning of the word “cloke”? My research discloses that it means pretense, outward showing, a covering, or an excuse. Notice the same verse in the Amplified Version of the Bible.
John 15:22 (AMP)
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin [would be blameless]; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
If a person does not have light, revelation, in a certain area and do not know they are sinning it is not sin to them. Now, will it have consequences, certainly, but perhaps modulated by the ignorance and mercy of God. Just because it is clearly sin to us does not mean it is clearly sin to them. They may be in a darkness, a deception that has left them in darkness not light. This is one reason we do not judge and are in fact not qualified to judge another person. God sees the heart but we do not. Sin is doing that which we know not to do. There is only one sin which condemns a man or woman to Hell and that is the rejection of the Christ. All other sin has consequences but our acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior changes our eternal destination from Hell to Heaven. The rejection of Jesus is the only sin that confirms our condemnation to Hell. It may be that a person rejects the call to salvation and never receives Jesus as Lord and Savior and remains condemned to Hell. We choose Hell or Heaven not God and not the devils. Or, it may be that a person received Jesus as Lord and Savior and later through the lusts of their flesh and the deceptions of the devil come to a point where they reject Jesus as Lord and Savior and are then (again) condemned to Hell. This is not an easy process; it must be purposeful and with full knowledge by the person rejecting Jesus. Seems like a fool thing to do but happens unfortunately. For a Christian, turning to a life of sin without rejecting the Blood and the sacrifice of Christ Jesus does not condemn one to Hell. I hear all too often when a person leaves the Church and is living an ungodly lifestyle that they are going to Hell. That is judging where we have no business and is a sin in and of itself. Lord willing and as led of the Holy Spirit I may return to this topic next week.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
