GIFTS – PART TWENTY-SEVEN

Greetings to our dear and wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry. God is so good and He is doing some wonderful things in us and through us, through this Ministry. I have to say it again, our God is so, so, good! Thank you for rejoining this Friday series titled “Gifts”, gifts of God. Before I move on into the lesson for today let me remind one and all that we are accepting financial partners to this Ministry. This Ministry has a Teaching and Prophetic arm, the Sabbatical Moments arm, and the Conference arm. All of these require funds to function fully and to do all that God would have us to do. Yes, God is dependent upon our obedience with regard to the timing of getting things done. Yes, He will get it done, the question is this, will you be a part of it or not, will you share in the blessing and reward or not? Now let’s move on into our study of “Gifts”.
We cannot obtain these gifts on our own, we are totally dependent upon His mercy, loving kindness, and grace (Grace). Our God overflows in these and much, much more! God has chosen us; He has chosen you and loves you with all of His heart (beyond human comprehension) and He has chosen me and my precious Donna. It brings me to tears of thanksgiving and gratitude. Our God is so good and wants and plans nothing but good for us His precious children just like we plan nothing but good for our natural children.
Genesis 22:17-19 (KJV)
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
For the next few minutes let’s focus on verse seventeen of our text. God is telling Abraham, Isaac, and us that his seed (this includes Jesus and us) “shall possess the gate of his enemies”. The word “gate” can also mean city. So, let’s take a look at this in the God’s Word translation.
Genesis 22:17 (GW)
17 I will certainly bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of their enemies’ cities.
Isn’t this what Jesus told Peter, the disciples and us in the following verse? We are to take back all that the enemy has stolen including the cities he has brought to ruin with the curse. Look at what Jesus had to say!
Matthew 16:18-19 (KJV)
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
We are in charge and all of Heaven backs us as we act in faith, in love, and as led of the Holy Spirit. Because of the Messiah, the redemption from the curse, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit we are to rule in the earth. Other than here, where have you heard that lately? Yes, we the Church corporately, and as individuals are the most powerful force in the earth with nothing even close. Why are we cowering before a far inferior force? The end of verse seventeen sounds to me a lot like Isaiah sixty-one.
Isaiah 61:4 (KJV)
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Are we individually and as the corporate Church building back the waste places, eliminating places made desolate by the enemy, and repairing the waste cities? You want me to give you the short answer? The short answer is NO! Why? The devil has taught religion, the Church to teach an inferiority complex to believers. I often bring up the following verse and people commonly ask what are the greater things.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
The greater things are those things referred to in Isaiah chapter sixty-one. How long will we be slack dear saints? Lord willing, I will pick up with verse eighteen (Genesis 22:18) next week.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
