REMEMBER THE WORD
Monday – April 20, 2020, Nisan 26, 5780
Greetings to all and welcome back to this powerful and instructive Bible Study of the Book of John. Are we really studying these Truths or are we looking at the pictures, scanning and then moving on? Over the preceding weeks you may have heard, said yourself, that is certainly time to get serious with God. Well, when was it not a time to be serious about the Word, about God? It has always been a time to take the Word of God very serious and make it first place in our lives, far in front and above all other thoughts, words, and people. Only when we see the Word of God as the way to think, as the way to talk, and the way to behave, then and only then can we please God, love (agape) God, and love people. We cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6) and that Scripture is talking about having faith in God, not the world system, the traditions of men, or the doctrine of devils. The power of faith in God is love (agape). Jesus Himself has told us repeatedly that obedience to the Word of God is love. Love (agape) is not an emotion. Let us throw ourselves entirely upon the Word of God not deviating from even one dot or tittle. John 15:20-23 (KJV)
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
Jesus is literally in the final few hours of His earthly Ministry and by the unction of the Holy Spirit He is giving a Truth impartation to them and to us. As we look back at verse twenty (number of redemption) we see Jesus telling us that we will find predominately two groups of people in our lives. One group (many in the Church) will persecute us and one group will believe and do the Word of God. We reviewed last week how we are not and never will be above the Master (Jesus in the earth) but we are to be just like Him, now, not in the sweet bye and bye.
Let’s take a look at the word “persecute” in verse twenty above. Persecution includes acts of enmity (hostility, antagonism, animosity), applied pressure, the putting of pressure upon, and setting oneself against. The source of this is the demonic powers expressed by deception through people, many of which will be in the Church. This happens because you are redeemed and are acting like the Master, like Jesus. The Church leaders did not like it in Jesus and they will be just as vehement against us. A vital key with hatred, persecution is to not let it in but keep it out not allowing fear of anything in our thinking, words, or actions. The persecution is directly proportional to how much we look like our Lord. We see the world and the Church come against wealth particularly in a Church leader. Why? Many reasons (none good) but that rich person is looking too much like Jesus (who was rich by the way). Let me remind you of the following passage which is describing a person like Jesus.
Mark 10:29-31 (KJV)
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
Being like Jesus is not one of misery but of great reward and all the while pleasing Him which has not only reward here and now, but eternal reward in the world to come. When we immerse ourselves in Him our lives will explode with the same miracles as Jesus in His earthly Ministry plus, we have the authority and Power to bring ravaged cites back to life in righteousness. Can you imagine anything more exciting with overflowing resources for the Kingdom of God work and in our personal lives? The world and much of the Church will not like it but our primary goal is to please Him not the world or any other people? People that know the Lord will be pleased by our work and those that do not know Him will not be pleased, just like in Jesus time.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
