REMEMBER THE WORD
Wednesday – April 15, 2020, Nisan 21, 5780

Greetings to the dear and precious friends and partners of this Ministry and blog. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to give us feedback and to enlarge the reach of this Ministry. God is so good dear ones. Also, welcome back to this Bible Study of the Book of John. God is nothing but good, He is the One who has provided for an abundant life not stealing, killing, and destroying. God does not put any plague (Corona Virus) upon His people or anyone else but must allow the consequences of bad choices. Bad choices at their foundation are rebellion against God, the Word of God. God created man as a freewill being and gave them dominion in the earth. We, the Church (filled with the Holy Spirit), have the same authority in the earth and access to the same Power as Adam before the fall (sin), and Jesus in the earth. With few exceptions there is little to no evidence of this, the Church is in serious shape like the ruins of the Church at Sardis pictured above. Listen to what the Head of the Church said to them.
Revelation 3:1-3 (KJV)
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Do we think that perhaps in comparison to the Church down the street or some other guidepost that we are alive but are in fact dead as Jesus said of the Church at Sardis? Jesus said I have looked your works over and you are in pitiful shape. Is He saying the same to us and we are deaf, we have not opened the door to allow Him in to sup, to commune, live with us? This Church at Sardis had let go of some Truths and they needed to return to those Truths in turning from sin. Jesus told the Church at Sardis that He would be forced to release the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy if they did not repent. Is the thief making his case right now before the righteous judge, is he at the door, has he already been loosed to steal, kill, and destroy due to our rebellion? Jesus really wants to live with us, not just be present with us but living with us and us with Him. If we have a powerless (John 14:12) life and lack abundance and don’t think we have anything to repent of we are in the darkest of deception and are being devoured by the devil. Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Study and read our primary text aloud.
John 15:20-22 (KJV)
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
Jesus is reminding those disciples and us that if they hated Him, they will hate us, and if they persecuted Him, they will persecute us. This can only harm us if we let the hatred, the persecution into our hearts (thinking). We must not allow this to disturb our peace. Jesus is also reminding them that the servant (them and us by choice) is not greater than his Master or Lord. Let’s look at two other recorded instances when Jesus told them this.
John 13:15-17 (ESV)
15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.
16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
Notice verse fifteen. Isn’t this like the following verse?
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
We are to do all the things Jesus did except die on a Cross or in any other way for Him. He died for us so we could live for Him and bear fruit for Him that lasts for eternity. Looking back at John 13:17 we find that knowing something is not the key, it is the doing of what we know. When we do the Word of God, love as He loved, we will walk in the “blessing” which is the enablement of God. As I close for today, consider the following.
Matthew 10:24-25 (ESV)
24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
25 It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.
In the preceding Scripture we see again the expectation that we be just like the teacher, just like the master, who is Jesus. Let us shake ourselves out of these doldrums and walk as He walked and make a difference that is remembered for eternity.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
