It is time for the Tuesday God’s Word and be reminded to pray for the governments of these United States. Today I am highlighting North Carolina. The building is the State Capital in Raleigh, the map locates North Carolina in the United States, and there is a picture of the State flag all from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. North Carolina was the 12th State admitted to the union on November 21, 1789 during the first term of our first President, George Washington. I also want to continually remind us that this is a covenant nation with God, so carefully read this excerpt from the North Carolina State Constitution.
NORTH CAROLINA STATE CONSTITUTION
PREAMBLE
We, the people of the State of North Carolina, grateful to Almighty God, the Sovereign Ruler of Nations, for the preservation of the American Union and the existence of our civil, political and religious liberties, and acknowledging our dependence upon Him for the continuance of those blessings to us and our posterity, do, for the more certain security thereof and for the better government of this State, ordain and establish this Constitution. (Bold added)
I will now continue with the teaching concerning Spiritual Warfare. We are not doing warfare in the physical realm but in the spiritual realm. This warfare is initiated the moment we recognize that a doctrine of devils is being introduced. Before we get back to the text of 1 Timothy 6:9-13 we must hit upon one more important thing to have in our thinking. Each of us is on assignment in the earth, we are a unique creation of God, Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God sent by God Himself. There has never been a creation like us and there will never be a creation like us again. An Ambassador is the highest ranking official from the sending entity to the host entity. Let that sink in a little and then let me point out that the Holy Spirit and holy angels are in the earth as well. Many years ago when the Lord was opening up to me, my purpose, and His mission for me in the Kingdom of God the following passage was a part of that revelation.
Jeremiah 1:4-12 (KJV)
4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Although this passage was given to me to highlight the call, an appointment of the Lord in my life, the Truth of the passage is for everyone. Pick it up in verse eight where God admonishes us not to be afraid of their faces, to not be afraid of men. Whatever men (inside and outside the Kingdom of God) may think of us NEVER forget that our LORD will without question deliver us. God wants us to know that He has placed the Words He wants said in our mouths (verse 9). The Word of God in our mouth tears down the kingdoms of Satan of this world but build the Kingdom of God. The LORD also wants us to know that He is watching over the Words that He has given us to speak and He will perform them. So let me ask a question. How often will the LORD perform the Words that He gives us to speak? Looks to me like 100% of the time. What if we contaminate His Words, by adding or subtracting from His Words, or just speak other words all together? 0%. His Words will win the battle every time.
