SUBMISSION FINALE
Tuesday – March 21, 2017

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is so very good. I pray that those of you who have chosen to get my new books (see the ad at the end of this teaching) are finding them a useful tool for spiritual growth and the building of that portion of the Kingdom of God to which you are assigned. If we are born again then we are citizens of the Kingdom of God. With citizenship comes responsibility for the affairs of Heaven just as we have responsibilities as citizens of the United States. The devil even expects his citizens in the kingdom of darkness to discharge their responsibilities of wickedness. We have dual citizenship in Heaven and in the earth however our eternal enduring citizenship is in Heaven and soon we will be conducting Kingdom business from the New Jerusalem. Continue to declare (decree) righteousness over this nation. All of the protests and confusion are not to concern us, the devil is scared and in a turmoil and so are his people as a result. This does not mean the new administration is doing wrong things, to the contrary the enemy knows what is going on and what is coming and he and his people are not going to go gently into the night. If we will stand strong in Him we are going to see a dramatic change that we cannot imagine today, do not be willing to compromise accepting better, we are after the best. If we will not relent we are headed to a place better than the foundation of this nation. God is good.
Now let’s return to our Bible Study in the book of Ephesians. I have been talking at length about the command of submission. Our next large topic is going to be the armor of God however the Holy Spirit does not seem to want me to move on quite yet. At verse ten below the Apostle Paul is switching gears from the topic of submission to the armor of God as he concludes his letter (God’s message) to the saints and faithful in Christ Jesus at Ephesus and all the saints and faithful in Christ Jesus down through time to and including you and me.
Ephesians 6:8-11 (KJV)
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The thing is this, if we do not get this submission thing right our lives are going to be confused and the curse manifest everywhere which is a devouring by the devil. Although the word ‘submission’ is not used that is the idea with every command that God gives to us. We can submit to the command and be in His will or we can ignore, rebel against the command, rebel against God, not doing His will, instead doing our will, turning aside to other gods and then we wonder why we have a mess in our bodies and lives. We are freewill creations. Let’s take a look at what the Apostle Peter has to say by the Spirit of God along these lines.
1 Peter 5:5-8 (KJV)
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Can we see the central role of submission in this passage which will lead to our not being devoured or our choosing not to submit which makes us lunch meat for the devil. God is saying that when we don’t submit to the elders, each other, clothed with humility we are acting in pride and thus we block the release of Grace (The Holy Spirit) to work in our lives. If we will not humble ourselves to the leadership of the Holy Spirit (mighty hand of God) we are not submitting, we are rebelling and again we block Him from lifting us up.
When we choose to deal with our situations and not talk to Him, choose not to rely upon His Word we have chosen ourselves as our god. Give me a break, just who do we think makes a better God, us or Him? Who do we think has the perfect solution to our problems, us or Him? We generally don’t even know why we’re in our messes say nothing about how to get out. Peter concludes this segment admonishing the reader to be sober (clear-headed, restrained, thoughtful, and unruffled) and vigilant (watchful, attentive, alert, cautious, heedful, and on guard). We must continuously be comparing our thoughts, words, body language, and ways with the Word of God.
Notice that the reason for all this is that the devil is on the prowl for lunch meat. He is not a roaring lion, he masquerades as a roaring lion. Notice in Ephesians 6:11 above that the armor of God is essential to standing against the wiles (tricks, ruses, deceits, charms, cons, scams, ploys, and stunts) of the devil. However if we are not submitted to the will of God we cannot be operating in His will and therefore not being strong in the Lord and operating in the power of His might.
