THE JEWS CRIED OUT
Greetings to our precious friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. God is so good dear ones. The Thanksgiving Holiday is behind, Christmas and the New Year are looming just ahead. Please take a few moments to share this teaching as widely as possible. Thank you for sharing. Contact us for the meeting id and password. This has been a very different year for sure. What we have done with this year depends on our focus. Let us ask ourselves, has our focus been on the natural, flesh and blood, or the spiritual and the demonic forces that look to destroy this nation.
God did not bring this COVID-19 pestilence upon the earth, it has come by way of the destroyer, it is not the will of God that any perish. The Church are the ones who have allowed this pestilence and the Church are the only ones that can defeat this pestilence. On the other hand, what the devil (destroyer) has meant for evil God can use for good. This Ministry in partnership with others is looking to get out of the box and take the war into the devils’ territory. You will also be seeing changes in my writing as we enter the new year, a new season. I am about to start another book (more in coming weeks), republish some booklets (short reads), and we will be dropping the Saturday edition of The Three Minute Word. Now, let’s turn our attention to our teaching for today and read our primary Bible text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 19:11-14 (KJV)
11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.
14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
As you will recall Jesus is now three hours from the Cross, as we see in verse fourteen it is six in the morning and He will be hanging on the Cross at nine am. Last week we left off with verse eleven and Jesus expressing the Truth about where all authority comes from. The word translated as “power” is the Greek word for authority or dominion. To see the origin of all authority one simply has to go back to the beginning.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Bold added)
Man received total authority (dominion) over all the earth at creation, delegated by God. By deception the demonic powers have usurped (appropriated) mans’ authority in the earth starting with Eve. Starting with the garden (Garden of Eden) to this very day mankind has lost their identity. We are in the image and likeness of the co-equal Triune God! We are to look like and act like our Father, our Brother (Jesus), and flow with the Holy Spirit. I am talking about men and women who worship the only Living God and are redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. The authority that Jesus walked in at that very moment dwarfed that of the Roman government and the ruling religious leaders of Israel. Jesus voluntarily surrendered Himself to the Cross and beyond for our sakes, the sacrificial Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. These authorities, civil authorities, were violating the law of God not to commit murder so Jesus could have exercised His authority legally in the eyes of the Father. Remember He told Peter don’t you know I could summon twelve legions of angels (Matthew 26:53). What about you and me?
As I end for today let’s take a look at verse twelve where we find the Jews, religious leaders, crying out for the murder of Jesus. They falsely claimed that Jesus was a seditionist (one who plots against the ruling authority overtly or covertly) which, although false with no evidence produced, was the final straw for Pilate to send Jesus to the Cross. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
