THE LAW UNKEPT
Friday – February 15, 2019, Adar A 10, 5779
Greetings my precious brothers and sisters of the Kingdom of God. Welcome back to this powerful and faith building Bible Study if we will but receive it and act upon it. The featured picture is of the lake near me on a nice summer day, that is to give those of us in Maine with cabin fever hope for the coming summer. Knowledge is king in the Kingdom of God and in the secular world (where did the devil get the idea?). Before we jump back into our Bible Study of the Book of John let’s give the following passage our attention which drives home the Truth that there is no substitute for knowledge. It is our knowledge of the ways of the Kingdom of God, the laws of the Kingdom in which we have faith along with faith in God and faith in the name of Jesus that guarantees the victory.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The work of Grace (Holy Spirit) and the peace of God (being one with God, nothing missing, nothing broken) don’t come through whining and crying or long sessions of prayer and fasting but through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. That process delivers to us ALL things that pertain to this natural life and the supernatural life. That knowledge of Him causes us to walk in His abundant goodness and excellence. Through faith in the Truth (knowledge) the promises of God are performed in our lives and we are partakers of the Divine nature (we are not sinner worms in the dirt). And this knowledge will free us of the corruptions of the world system through our own lusts, it teaches us how to overcome our lusts and walk in righteousness. The lusts that the devil promotes are weak and perverted imitations on the real joys of righteousness. Well now, lets get back to our Bible Study of John starting with our primary Bible text.
John 7:18-21 (KJV)
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?
20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
Religious devils may be the most dangerous devils of all for they cloak themselves in a false light, traditions of men, doctrines of devils, and will destroy the righteous. These people in a delusion by the great deluder may very well believe they are righteous and doing the work of God when in reality they are doing the work of Beelzebub and his minions. This is all around us, walk with all mindfulness, be harmless as doves, and wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16). Moses was highly revered at least with lip service in that day and to this day by the religious Jews. Jesus tells them that Moses gave them the law, the same law, gospel that Jesus was teaching, they were not doing what Moses taught yet they want to kill Him. The Pharisees are teaching what Moses taught and Jesus is teaching what Moses taught yet they are getting dramatically different results. They simply ignore one but are convicted by the other and think they can eliminate that discomfort by killing the messenger, Jesus. What they didn’t know was that the outcome of killing Jesus would be to amplify the message and give a path of redemption for all of mankind. Let’s look at this nineteenth verse in the Amplified Version of the Bible.
John 7:19 (AMP)
19 Did not Moses give you the Law? And yet not one of you keeps the Law. [If that is the truth] why do you seek to kill Me [for not keeping it]?
Who’s being a little snarky now? They are in an uproar for He had healed the man with an infirmity thirty-eight years on the Sabbath back in chapter five. Jesus says, not one of you is keeping the law of Moses yet you want to kill me for not keeping it (referring to the healing on the Sabbath). Do you think He was calling them hypocrites? Now, they accuse Jesus of having a devil.
John 7:20 (AMP)
20 The crowd answered Him, You are possessed by a demon! [You are raving!] Who seeks to kill You?
They accuse Jesus of being demon possessed and then act all innocent about wanting to kill Him. Be cautious, the religious devils are doing the same thing today. They will seek to eliminate you or discredit you and all the while sweet talking you.
Matthew 7:15 (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
