THE SERAPHIMS

Greetings precious saints of God, brothers and sisters in Christ, in the Kingdom of God. If you are not in Christ (born again, saved) get saved (from the wrath of God for rejecting His Son) right now and enter the Kingdom of eternal life, of light leaving eternal death (separation from God and Hell for eternity) and darkness with torment.
Romans 10:9 (NJB)
9 that if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved.
If you received Jesus as Lord kicking out Satan let us know that we can rejoice with you. As we move forward, please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible, forsake being ashamed of the gospel. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of beautiful Donna and me during a recent trip to Triumph Christian Center in Porter Texas. Had a wonderful time in the Lord there with our friends, partners, and fellow ministers Jeff and Denise Stiewig. Pastors Phil and Wanda Meadows and all the folks we met were wonderful, precious people, and we had the sense of having known them forever. If you are in that area, by all means visit, you will not be disappointed and you will come away built up.
Before we move into our primary Isaiah text, I believe the Lord would have me once again review a separate Bible Truth. There is a myth in the Church that everything is up to God and completely controlled by God and we are just haplessly bobbing along through life. Dear ones, we always have a part and until we do our part, He will not move. He will not under any circumstances violate our freewill doing our part and His. All things are done by our faith, in our love, without our doubting, our being led of the Holy Spirit. This is everywhere in Scripture but today we will review only the following passage.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Our part is verse six and His part is verse seven. When we resist anxiety, pray (talk with Him), and give Him thanks we have exercised out peace and He will supplement that with His peace completing our defense. We always have a part! Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text from the Book of Isaiah. Please continue reading aloud, yes, out loud.
Isaiah 6:1-4 (KJV)
1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
What about those seraphims? They seem strange to us as described but have you looked at a giraffe lately? Won’t it be wonderous when we see these thing for ourselves. It won’t be long dear ones. These are six winged created creatures. They covered their face with two, covered their feet with two, and flew with two. I suspect the shielding of the face has to do with the brilliance of the light associated with Jesus, God upon the Throne. The covering of the feet perhaps since it is a more uncomely part of the body. We are told in verse two that the Seraphim were standing above the Throne but later in the verse we are told they did fly. As they flew, they cried continually “Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory”. We find confirmation from the reference to the One upon the Throne as the Lord of hosts that it is indeed our Lord Jesus. Let’s see these same creatures in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 4:8 (ESV)
8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
Briefly back to the word ‘Lord’ in verse one and ‘Lord of hosts’ in verse three. The word Lord in the first verse is ʾadōnāy meaning master, owner according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Jesus is the Master and we belong to Him by our choice. Lord of hosts is yhwh meaning self-Existent or Eternal according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. YHWH or Jehovah is commonly associated with the one we refer to as Father God, here we see it associated with Jesus making His Divinity unquestionable. Jesus since the Resurrection is all man and all God. We see this clearly in the following verse.
1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
That one God and one man between us and the Father is Christ Jesus. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
