Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ and any others seeing what this is all about. Welcome to our study of the precious Bible Book of Isaiah. The featured picture is of an old Church in Oklahoma. The purpose of a Church picture is to remind us all of the command from our Lord to continually intercede for our brothers and sisters near and far. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 60:1-5 (KJV)
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Can you see verse four in your minds eye (imagination)? Who are those who are to gather to each of us and to our local Churches? It is the unsaved (gentiles), the saved and unsaved leaders of all seven spheres of influence, as well as our own sons and daughters. What a picture! When we build our faith for these things and can see it in our minds eye believing we have received it will be a manifest reality for us in this earth. It needs to go far beyond an individual here and there walking in this prophetic word. There must be a great awaking in a, for the most part, slumbering Church.
What about verse five? Let’s take a look at this verse in the New King James Version for it may cause the poverty and religious devils to squeal.
Isaiah 60:5 (NKJV)
5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
Prosperity for the people of God is cover to cover in this wonderful Book of Light our God, the only real God, has given to His people. A good example is in the very next chapter.
Isaiah 61:4-6 (NKJV)
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, And the sons of the foreigner Shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 But you shall be named the priests of the LORD, They shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, And in their glory you shall boast.
One cannot rebuild old ruins, repair ruined cities, and hire people to tend to their businesses without overflowing abundance. This is what God says. I did not write any of this. The people of the Old Covenant flourished exceedingly yet now under the New Covenant many have swallowed the poverty mentality hook line and sinker. Dear ones we today not only have the physical blessing, the Covenant made with Abram/Abraham, but the spiritual blessing by faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:13-14 (NKJV)
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),
14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:29 (NKJV)
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Did you read verses 14 and 29 really carefully?
