Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome to this special edition of The Three Minute Word. By the way today at 6;00 PM is also the start of Chanukah or Feast of Dedication. I will teach about that tomorrow. The picture today depicts the birth of the Messiah some 2000 plus years ago and not a fat red suited man with a bag of toys. On that note, Merry Christmas to one and all, for unto us a child has been born, a Savior!
Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah looking forward in time saw the coming of the Savior, the much needed, necessary Messiah! Then the day came!
Luke 2:11 (KJV)
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Donna and I certainly wish everyone a joyous Christmas. The meaning of the word “Christmas” is celebration of the Christ, the Messiah. Please don’t take your focus off the reason for the Holiday. This holiday is not primarily for gifts, family, food, football, or whatever else people do but this day is to commemorate and observe the coming of our Savior, our Messiah, Christ the Lord, the One and only redeemer for mankind. Yes, enjoy the gifts, family, the special foods, games and so on but those things are not the reason this day is on the calendar. The year on the calendar itself testifies of the birth of Jesus, the Christ, the Savior.

15 Thank God for his Son—his Gift too wonderful for words.
Now, let’s shift gears. The end of the year is upon us and we invite you to consider this Ministry as part of your yearend giving and perhaps joining yourself to this Ministry as a regular financial partner. When we go back a few verses in Philippians we find the Apostle Paul is talking about partnership. If we are benefiting you spiritually, we ask that you prayerfully consider sharing with us in the carnal things.
1 Corinthians 9:11 (KJV)
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
Let’s take a look at this in two other translations. Be led of the Lord in this and in all things. See the Amplified translation.
1 Corinthians 9:11 (AMP)
11 If we have sown [the seed of] spiritual good among you, [is it too] much if we reap from your material benefits?
Finally, see the New Living Translation.
1 Corinthians 9:11 (NLT)
11 Since we have planted spiritual seed among you, aren’t we entitled to a harvest of physical food and drink?
12 If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.
Lord willing, tomorrow I will teach about the Feast of Dedication or Feast of Lights then next week pick up right here with our study of Isaiah. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
