AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THEY HAVE CAST AWAY THE LAW OF THE LORD OF HOSTS
Greetings dear and precious saints of God, my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and welcome back to these teachings based on the wonderful Bible Book of Isaiah. Right now, in the name of Jesus determine that you will receive all of the precious and turn away the dross. Please take a moment to share these as widely as possible to expand the reach of the only really good news. The best news anyone will ever receive. A correction from God (directly or through a man or woman of God) is more valuable than all the gold in the world. Come on let’s get real about serving the Lord and our fellow man. The featured picture today as every Thursday is of Donna and me during a recent visit to Maggiano’s Little Italy here in San Antonio. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary text in the Bible Book of Isaiah, continuing to read aloud, yes, out loud.
Isaiah 5:23-25 (KJV)
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
As you can see, we are starting to launch into new territory in Isaiah. As we do this, I want each of you to take a moment and glance down to the 25th verse to see who God has been talking to all this time. Not the unsaved, heathen, you and me! People can be saved and be extraordinarily wicked. That is a very inconvenient Truth. I cannot judge the heart of another, hard enough judging my own, but I suspect on the whole we are unaware of our wickedness. Why? How can we be exceedingly wicked and ignorant? Wiles, deceptions of the demons and no leadership. Our becoming increasingly like and finally like the Master takes a whole lot more than showing up at Church, singing a few songs, and speaking in tongues. All of that is good but just a start, that is the baby in the bassinet. Let’s go back to verse 23 for just a moment and rightlessness and taking that from a righteous person.

23 Who justify and acquit the guilty for a bribe, but take away the rights of the innocent and righteous from them!
A pro-abortion national politician gets up and promises increased social security, or perhaps a more local politician promises a goodie for you and they are pushing abortion and sexual perversion. If we influence another to vote the same way, take the same bribe are we not taking righteousness away from a righteous man. Wonder how that sits with God? We acquit the guilty and wish them Godspeed. Oh, what wickedness. Right today this is where America stands with perhaps millions in the Church wishing Godspeed to a wicked agenda. Perhaps some of you are saying; “what are you talking about Willis?” I am talking about the Executive, and legislative branches of our federal government that the Church handed fully to Satan on a gold platter.

23 And then line your pockets with bribes from the guilty while you violate the rights of the innocent.
What is more innocent than a baby in the womb of the mother? We see this with COVID-19 where many in the Church are showing no regard (love) for their fellow man, violating the right to safety of another in rebellion against God (not wearing the mask as appropriate and getting the vaccination). Remember rebellion against the government is rebellion against God (Romans 13 and elsewhere). With exceptions the emergency mandates imposed for the “general welfare” did not violate any of God’s moral law, period.
So, we see back in verse twenty-four that the root becomes rotten. The root, the Church is rotten from the roots. What is the law of the Lord of Hosts? First and foremost, it is love (agape) of God and love of our neighbor. The Church is not blossoming but in decline. The Church was declared as nonessential, same as entertainment. The Church has not been a blessing in the community but a curse sometimes being the source of sickness and disease. These things should not be. When will we step up and be essential and everyone knows it whether they like it or not? The government should have been calling on the Church and the Church on the government to enjoin the fight together rather than being a nemesis to the government. Don’t get mad at me, get your nose in the Book (Bible) and see how men and women of God should be operating in these times. There is no physical manifestation that did not have it origins in the spirit realm and that realm as well as the physical are under the dominion of the man and woman of God, the Church. So, who is responsible for the plague (COVID-19) and the mess in Afghanistan, and so on? As I have heard another say; wakey wakey.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
