TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART NINETEEN
PSALM 91 – PART FOUR
Saturday – May 25, 2019, Iyar 20, 5779
Greetings my dear partners and friends, the most diligent students (disciples) and those who most ardently cleave to the Lord. Dear brother and sister it is going to begin to rain, there is much to do, let us sharpen our ears and our willingness to follow the Master, obedience without delay dear ones. This particular weekly study on Saturday’s is focused on separating the traditions of men, and the doctrines of demons from the Truth of God. Until we do this in our own lives, in the local Church, and in the Church at large we will suffer defeat after defeat and walk in perpetual shame at each level.
Now, let’s turn our attention to the study at hand. As you will recall I have been talking about prayer and the role of decrees for several weeks. Prayer, communing with God, meditation before God, reading the Bible, studying the Bible does not bring anything into our lives. It does, however, give us direction to bring the will of God, the Covenant, into our lives. Having an instruction manual, even knowing the manual forwards and back is of no use until we actually do the instructions. Likewise in the Kingdom of God it is not until we decree the thing in unwavering faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit that it will become a reality in our lives. Faith always requires a corresponding action absolutely devoid of doubt, and love speaks of our motivations. Now, let’s continue with the 91st Psalm.
Psalm 91:9-13 (KJV)
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
I discussed in prior lessons that dwelling in the secret place of the most High and abiding in the shadow of the Almighty involved declaring or decreeing it so in unwavering faith. We can ask God to place us in the secret place or His shadow for a hundred years and never achieve that protected place. It comes by knowing it is available, not only available but that God wants us in that place, but we must declare the thing for it to come to pass. God is not offended when we decree a thing, quite to the contrary He is abundantly pleased, it is His system, not ours. Read verse nine above very carefully. Who made the LORD their refuge their habitation? Not the LORD but the speaker, the child of God. Once we speak it, He will make it so, He will perform it. You have heard me say that this is exactly how Jesus, the Anointed man, operated in the earth. He only said what the Father said, He only did what He saw the Father do, and the Father did the works. He had to declare it and the Father did it. At no time did Jesus beg or ask the Father to do the thing, He declared it and the Father performed the work. We are to do exactly the same as Jesus and then and only then will we get His results. Meditate the following example.
Luke 13:11-13 (KJV)
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
This is the pattern in every miracle recorded in the gospels or anywhere else in Scripture. None of the benefits of the Kingdom of God will be present in our life as laid out in the remaining verses of the 91st Psalm until we make the LORD our refuge and habitation by the words of our mouth (a decree), in unwavering faith, in love, led of the Spirit of God. Children come boldly to the throne of Grace and decree the thing and it shall be a reality in your life.
Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Job 22:27-30 (KJV)
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
Dear children we are kings and priests not beggars, we are the authority of the Kingdom of God in all the earth and He is the Power to get it done for His glory. Do we want the flow of Grace in our lives? Of course, we do!
