LIFE IN HEAVEN – PART FIFTY-SEVEN

TIME FRAME EIGHT
ETERNITY FUTURE
Greeting to all and welcome to this ongoing study of “Life in Heaven”. Our God is so good to give us revelation of Himself and the wonderful life He created for us in the beginning and restored through Christ Jesus. This is such a wonderful study and so fun to write, let us listen closely for there is revelation coming directly from the Throne. If you are reading this on Facebook, take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of the gospel. Thank you so much. When God gave me this series to write, He told me to divide the study into eight time-frames which I have done. We are now fifty-seven weeks into this study and over the coming weeks we will come to an end of what has given me to write. I will then seek to put this material as well as new revelation into a book.
- Eternity before Genesis 1:1
- Genesis 1:1 to 1:2 (may have been billions of years)
- Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 3:6 the Day of Sin and Death
- Genesis 3:6 to Jesus putting His Blood on the Mercy Seat
- Resurrection to the Rapture
- Rapture or Catching Away to the Second Coming
- One Thousand Year Reign
- Eternity Future
Last Sunday I was talking about “Eternity Future” and how it starts with God providing us with a new, and pure heaven and earth.
Revelation 21:1-6 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Let’s deal with verse one first. In this passage we are told that the “first heaven and the first earth were passed away”. Are we talking about the first heaven and earth of Genesis 1:1 or are we talking about the heaven and earth of Genesis 1:3 and following? It seems to me we are talking about the renovation or recreation of Genesis 1:3 and following. There was a partial cleansing of the earth in the flood between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 and again with the flood of Noah. A third flood came with Christ Jesus, the Word which is symbolically water, to cleanse mankind. The final cleansing and by far the most cleansing will be the one of fire at the start of eternity future. At times the Holy Spirit directs me to look at the number and gender of various words and so it is in verse one. The word “heaven” in verse one is masculine and singular. The word “earth” in verse one is feminine and singular. The feminine gender is capable of reproduction, or productivity given the right seed. The right seed or seed that causes productivity is the Word of God. Productivity in the earth occurs on a supernatural God level with the Word of God in our mouths. Bottom line, productivity is going to occur, which is our responsibility, in this new earth just as it was commanded in the old earth (Genesis 1:3 and following).
In the second verse we see the “new Jerusalem” coming down out of Heaven and alighting at the site of prior earthly Jerusalem. Notice it is Heavenly Jerusalem not all of Heaven that comes upon the earth. It appears to be the Tabernacle of God. At this time the tears of all peoples will be wiped away. One of the things I have thought about is whether the wiping away of tears occurs with each person upon entry into Heaven or if it occurs all at one time for all peoples here at the very front end of eternity future. I don’t know that we have a definitive answer to that question in our text. This wiping away of tears is associated with no more death, sorrow, crying, and pain. The Scripture refers to these as former things experienced by people in a former time. One of the thoughts I have had concerning this is that upon entering Heaven either by physical death or the Catching Away we will have increased clarity of spiritual sight. As a result of this clarity we would become aware of our failures. In the light of Heaven we would be overcome with uncontrollable grief at what we missed and the dire consequences for others. As a consequence, God would wipe away our tears, make things right, in His mercy upon us. However, I am now impressed that may not be the case. It would seem that the Judgment Seat of Christ is at the end of the Millennial Reign and this wiping away of tears is right at the start of eternity future. It may well be that from the time we enter Heaven until this time we are shielded from the full knowledge of our actions until the Judgment Seat of Christ. At that judgment there may be many tears shed and once justice is done God in His mercy will wipe those tears away.
Until our next publication, confess the following passage and walk before Whom we have to do with great rejoicing and thanksgiving. This physical body is our humiliation but soon it will be no more for the glory of God and our eternal benefit.
John 14:1-4 (KJV)
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
