UNCLEAN LIPS

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog and our study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. This is a wonderful and illuminating Book of Holy Scripture. The featured picture today is of Donna and me on a recent trip to Triumph Christian Center in Porter Texas. If you are in that area and don’t have a Church you will not be disappointed if you choose to attend there. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry, the Truth. Thank you for sharing. Our purpose is to not just bring things (thoughts, words, and actions) that are true to your attention but to bring Truth front and center. I pray each day that I will think, write, and speak the Word rightly divided. Prove everything by the Word of God. The Word of God is the ONLY source of Truth. Prove all words by at least two witnesses, in context, and divided by other Truth. Be a good Berean (Acts 17:11). Just because mamma and them, our Pastor, and everybody at our Church says something and believes a certain thing does not make it the Truth. As I was pondering before the Lord what I would write this week as a preamble or Word from the Lord, He quickened me to a passage, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. There is much to say about this but I will not say it all today. For the sake of space and time I will continue to address only a part of the 17th verse.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Yesterday I pointed out that both the words ‘new’ and ‘creature’ were singular and feminine in gender. This new creature is to be productive. That means each and everyone of us is to be productive for the Kingdom of God not just a certain few. By the way one cannot be truly productive for the Kingdom and not have physical evidence like prosperity, health, and so on. Let’s look at the definition of ‘creature’ from the Greek.
The word translated from Greek to English is Ktisis which comes from the root word ktizō. These mean original formation, building, creation, creature, ordinance. These carry the idea of being a proprietor, a fabricator, and a creator. It also carries the meaning of a place founded, created, being an inventor, a builder or one to build up, one who colonizes according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament and Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Wow, we are all of that and more! More to come, but now let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text and continue reading aloud to build our faith.
Isaiah 6:3-7 (KJV)
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
What a wonderful passage and glimpse into Heaven, into the very Throne Room of our God, our Lord and Savior. This is the Most Holy Place or the Holy of Holies in Heaven. We have talked the last few days how this passage focuses in on the mouth, the source of our lives, the source of iniquity. Remember the words of Jesus to Peter and the others gathered.
Matthew 15:15-20 (KJV)
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
By the way, Jesus is not talking to the devils crowd but His crowd. The word ‘defile’ means to be common, polluted, and unholy. These things were never the will of God for His children. Should we be paying way more attention to what is coming out of our mouths and to the source of those words, our thoughts? Of course, we should! One cannot underestimate the weight, the importance, of this Truth. Jesus addressed the importance of our words many times yet the Church as a whole seems oblivious to these teachings, commands. The deceptions of the enemy and our traditions have rendered most Christians absolutely powerless. We mix our knowledge of good and evil which brings death. Christians like the world seem to be excited by evil, bad news, negative thoughts (ideas), reports, and events.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
