WALK CIRCUMSPECTLY NOT AS A FOOL
Tuesday – February 21, 2017

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from The Three Minute Word publication. Please notice the cover of my latest publication titled “And God Said”. It can be ordered at Amazon.com. It is Tuesday and the day I remind us all to pray for the various levels of government across these United States. This nation is a Covenant nation with God, being established a Christian nation upon Judaeo-Christian principles, by the will of God. Church, do not be afraid of the shaking for it will expose the true nature of peoples and various leaders. We the Church must stand for righteousness and righteousness only. Then and only then can this nation again be a strong light in the world and the greatest harvests ever will be our heritage. Now back to our Bible Study.
Ephesians 5:13-15 (KJV)
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
It is paramount that we be light as He is light and that we walk with Him in the light, only in that way can we have fellowship with Him. A person in darkness who says they have fellowship with Him is a liar.
1 John 1:5-7 (KJV)
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Anytime even the smallest amount of darkness comes in the light will make it manifest. At that moment our smart choice is to confess the sin (darkness) to God coming into agreement about the nature of darkness and receive His forgiveness and the cleansing Blood of Jesus.
1 John 1:9-10 (KJV)
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
If we refuse to confess our sin and be cleansed from that unrighteousness we are calling Him a liar. It may be just me but that sounds like a real ignorant thing to do. The preceding Scripture tells us His Word is not in us because we chose the words of the serpent, giving his words a place higher than the Word of God. Or perhaps we combined the words of the serpent with the Word of God causing a corruption with a stench to the heavens. Now back to Ephesians 5:14.
Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
The Holy Spirit has quickened me to speak for a moment about the Biblical Numerology of this verse. Ephesians is the tenth book of the New Testament and ten is the number of responsibility. Five is the number of the Holy Spirit, and fourteen is the number of deliverance or salvation. A person who is sleeping is unaware of the true nature of what is going on about them. They are dead in their sins, dead to God, a dead soul and on their way to Hell. Our text tells us to; “arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” The light is already available, Christ is already present willing and able. Except for God’s call for us to awake, and arise from the spiritually dead, receiving light from Christ (Anointed Word of God) who must take the first step? We do, we were all asleep, spiritually dead at one time, this same invitation was extended and we accepted and took the steps necessary to arrive at the desired destination in the light. God is not in control of who receives salvation and who does not. He extends the call but we must respond. It is our responsibility to respond, when we do the Holy Spirit will quicken or make us alive, and we will have the deliverance (from darkness, spiritual death), the salvation bought by Christ, and be in the light. The word ‘light’ here is illumination and Christ is the source of this illumination.
I will close or finish today’s Bible Lesson with this admonition, command, through the Apostle Paul, from our Lord.
Ephesians 5:15 (KJV)
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
I don’t know but I suspect that many of us think we are walking circumspectly (cautiously, vigilantly, carefully, guardedly, and thoughtfully) but perhaps our close examination of the flagrant sins in the Church then and now has caused us to reflect on our thoughts, words, and ways. Paul says that to not walk circumspectly is a mark of a fool not a wise man. I for one want to be counted among the wise both here but more importantly in the counsel and judgment of God. I want to be in complete agreement with God so that I can walk with him, unable to get even a piece of paper between us.
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
