AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

WE HAVE A LAW

Greetings dear and precious sons and daughters of the Most High God who obey Him with great joy and rejoicing. Please take a few moments and share this message of the Kingdom, this message of hope, this message of Truth as widely as possible. The featured picture was taken last year of our home and front yard with lots of snow. Today is the 79th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor when 2403 Americans died over a few short hours. President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared it as a day that would live in infamy. That was a sneak, surprise attack that was a devastating blow. We recovered and won the war decisively. Our spiritual enemies are seeking day and night how they might bring a surprise attack into our lives. Yes, we can, and will recover all, and win the victory but it is better to not suffer the attack in the first place. The way we do that is to talk to the Lord about everything in our lives, listen intently to the inner witness, and constantly be comparing our thoughts to Scripture.
1 Peter 5:6-9 (KJV)
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (Bold added)
Now, let’s turn our attention to today’s teaching. We will start by reading it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 19:7-11 (KJV)
7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;
9 And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
As you know, Jesus is in the final moments of His earthly Ministry. The very focus of why He came is at hand. I for one, and I know you are as well, brimming over with thanksgiving that God Himself, the second person of the co-equal triune God, would lay aside His attributes as God and come into the earth as a man. Jesus grew and learned as other men however He developed a full understanding of who He was and His mission in the earth. I was talking with a very good friend last evening (8th of Nov) about what we, Christians have lost, and one is a proper image of who we are in Christ Jesus. This is huge and without regaining knowledge of who we are in Christ Jesus we will remain for the most part defeated as individuals and the Church in general will live in humiliation and the curse.
From our text we find ourselves in the midst of Pilate, the Roman governor, interrogating Jesus and unable to find fault, or a crime worthy of death. In spite of that we have seen that this is a very wicked and cruel man. He wants to let Jesus go but the Jews insist that Jesus be put to death according to their law.
Leviticus 24:16 (ESV)
16 Whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
We find that Pilate is alarmed or afraid when the Jews told him that Jesus had “made Himself the Son of God”. Jesus was not THE Son of God in eternity past, prior to the womb of Mary. Jesus submitted to the humiliation of becoming as a man for our sake, His love of mankind, and His love of the One who became His Father at the womb of Mary. As I end for today, we find Pilate reentering the Judgement Hall (Roman) to further interrogate Jesus. Until tomorrow walk in the Blessing according to obedience.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
