AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Sunday – December 6, 2020, Kislev 20, 5781
THE GREATER THINGS – PART FIFTEEN
Greetings to one and all and welcome to this powerful and illuminating Bible Study focused on the “greater works” Jesus commanded that we do.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Why are we slack? Is this simply an inconvenient verse in the Bible? Have we hardened our hearts so that we are not convicted to repentance and action anymore? Is the Kingdom of God being preached in your Church or mine? Is this verse (John 14:12) being preached? While you are thinking this over please take a moment and share this teaching to expand the reach of the Truth.
We are in a time that is testing the resolve, the faith, of the Church really of all peoples. Once again, I would strongly urge all of the house of God to trust (believe) God and His Prophets, to stand still, and let God be God, finally do not change your confession even when all may look to be lost or dead. Exactly what is impossible with God? Nothing, absolutely nothing! Resist fear and doubt at every turn, give it no place in your thinking or your words. The Lord laughs in the Heavens at the vain imaginations and folly of the wicked. All will be exposed and President Trump will serve another four years and Pence after him.
Psalm 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
What the heathen (unsaved) don’t realize is that there is a far superior force in the earth called the Church of the Living God and within it is a rising remnant that will set all things right. The wicked want the freedom for great wickedness but they will be restrained until the Rapture (Catching Away of the Church). Our Father, our King, and our Teacher are laughing at their vain imaginations, even mocking them (derision).
Now, let’s turn our attention for a few moments to the greater works, at least some of them, that Jesus referred to in John 14:12.
Isaiah 61:1-3 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
As you will recall verse one and the first half of verse two are what Jesus got up and read in the synagogue of His home town, Nazareth.
Luke 4:16-19 (KJV)
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
This is a part of the works of the Kingdom, this is what Jesus taught and preached. This day in Nazareth He could do no mighty works due to unbelief, they were offended in Him.
Mark 6:4-6 (KJV)
4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Perhaps you can’t do mighty works in your “Nazareth” due to unbelief. Inquire of the Lord as to where they will receive you and believe you and the Power of God can flow to the hungry.

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
