GIFTS – PART EIGHTY-THREE
ARMOR OF GOD – PART TWENTY-FIVE

Greeting precious saints of God and those who are pre-saints of God. Welcome to this ongoing Bible teaching on “Gifts from God” currently discussing the Armor of God. Please take a moment to share these teachings broadening and lengthening the reach of this Ministry with the Truth.
I am hearing and sensing increasing frustration among some in the body of Christ concerning the status quo. That is Church services without Power and a lack of Power in our everyday lives. There is a frustration with not seeing the works of Jesus much less the greater works which the Master Himself commanded we are to do. I understand this frustration for I experience the same. I have had it with a little dab will do yah mentality. Some of you may be satisfied with the status quo or just accept whatever happens as the will of God. This is the immense danger of the demonic teaching that “God is in control” of everything. We are redeemed from the curse, it is not the will of God that any of His children be killed by the curse, period. These atrocities brought by the devils are not the will of God. They are not a failure on God’s part and are not a failure of the Word of God. We are the weak link dear ones. It is a breakdown in our faith, love, and/or following the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
For God to work through us like He did Jesus we must be led of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told us He didn’t say anything the Father didn’t say, do anything He didn’t see the Father doing, and the Father did the works. What about our faith? What about our love (agape)? Faith works by love. There is this idea that it is the will of God that we pray for everyone and anyone. That is tradition and not a Bible teaching, a God idea. It is not the will of God that any person experience any of the curse. We choose the curse by our thoughts, words, and actions. In large part this happens through ignorance for a variety of reason that ought not be. We must have faith, love, and leadership of the Holy Spirit, but it is the faith of the person being prayed for that ultimately brings the healing, the wholeness. Our part is to be ready for the Power of God to flow through us. We can’t be gunked up with the trash of the world. Yes, it is always the will of God for every person on the planet to be saved and free of every aspect of the curse. However, it is not God’s faith or will, our faith or will, but the faith of person in need that draws the Power of God. Think about or review the account of the woman with the issue of blood (notice Mark 5:34). The Book of Acts should be ongoing, instead for the most part we have the book of words, traditions, and demonic doctrines. Now let’s shift our attention back to foundation building for the effective use of the Armor of God. Read the Scriptures aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing but seeing.
Ephesians 5:19-21 (KJV)
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Today let’s delve into verse twenty where find that a heart of thanksgiving plays a significant role in underpinning the effective use of the Armor of God. As we examine this verse, we might be tempted to think that surely there is an error here. Why would God tell us, command us, to give thanks all the time for all things? We can look at different translations but they all say the same thing, give thanks always for all things. I have to admit this is a hard saying. Of course, this is easy for the good things that happen in our lives but what about the bad? What about the following verse?
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
This verse says to give thanks no matter the circumstances of our lives and seems like a much easier command to honor. We must however honor, do, every command we find in Scripture. What the Lord has taught me about verse twenty of our text is that we are not necessarily giving thanks for the actual circumstance. For example, when faced by an adverse situation we can be thankful to the Lord that we are victorious over it. We are thankful for an opportunity to overcome and obtain a victory for the Kingdom. Perhaps a spouse has died and He wants us to give thanks for that? No, but we can give thanks that they are free of the curse and in the presence of the Father, Jesus, and all that have gone before. We tend to think in our little time bubbles and what we have lost, all about us and not them and the wonderful eternity they have plunged into. Let us determine to give thanks in everything and for everything whether we understand it, feel like it or not. Every coin has two sides. We tend to focus on the negative side and especially how it adversely affects us. Let’s refocus and have Heaven’s view of all things. When a loved one goes on to Heaven give thanks to God and rejoice with them. I can assure you they are rejoicing and not wishing they were back on earth. Rejoice and be thankful at all times in and for all things for that is the will of God concerning us.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
