GIFTS – PART EIGHTY-FIVE
ARMOR OF GOD – PART TWENTY-SEVEN

Greetings precious children, sons of the Most High God and welcome back to this empowering Bible Study of Gifts, gifts from God. We are now focused on the gift of Gods’ very own Armor. Please take a moment and share these studies as widely as possible to increase the reach of the Truth. God is good, He is nothing but good, please let others know of His goodness. As you know I have been proceeding meticulously to establish context and what is required for effective use of the armor.
This knowledge of the armor of God (nor any other) is not just dropped into us at salvation. We must study the Word, guard the Word, and implement the Word into our thoughts, speech, and conduct. Let me remind us all of the following familiar Scripture.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Who has to study? Who is looking to not be ashamed (embarrassed) before God? Who is responsible to rightly divide the Word of God? The answer to all three questions is; I am! How do we have good success in the sight of God?
Joshua 1:8-9 (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
When we get, keep, and do the Word of God we will be prosperous and have good success. God sees to it; however, we must do our part in order for God to do His part. For us not to do any of the things mentioned is a lack of our love (agape) of God and our neighbor, plus a lack of faith. It is rather hypocritical for us to say we love God and love people but then not do our part to bring the full plan of God into the earth and into other peoples lives. How can we do the works Jesus did and go on to the greater works if we don’t do what Jesus did? We are commanded by the head of the Church to do both, now. Jesus was not operating as God in the earth, He had to study. Just look at this passage. He operated as an Anointed man and so must we, with God’s help (which we need for all things, as did He) we can do this and with excellence.
Luke 2:46-47 (KJV)
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Jesus was twelve years old at this time operating as a man. How old am I, how old are you? Jesus is not operating as God here nor at any other time in His earthly ministry, neither was it His fallback position if needed. Hopefully I wet your appetite for where I am going with this. I will pick this up and continue from the Prophets Chamber tomorrow. Now let’s move to our primary Bible text from the Book of Ephesians and continue to read aloud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not seeing.
Ephesians 5:21-24 (KJV)
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Right off the bat we see the word submit which is an anathema (abomination) to many in society today both in the world and in the Church. This should not be so in the Church. This word submit literally means to place oneself under. That does not mean that any of us are to be someone’s carpet or be abused (mistreated) using Scripture. All is to be done in the context of the Scripture and in love (agape). We are not to think more highly of ourselves than we think of others. Remember, like Jesus we are the servant of all. Listen to the Master.
Mark 10:42-45 (KJV)
42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
43 But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:
44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.
45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Our chief thoughts and attitudes are not to be; what can you do for me but what can I do for you to make your life better. We do this to reverence, respect, and honor our God, there is one God over all. When we choose to serve God and our fellow man, we become great in the eyes of the Lord. As Jesus pointed out the world is upside down from the world system. The verses following Ephesians 5:21 concern husbands and wives, Christ and the Church. We will read and study them carefully for many women have been severely abused by men lording these Scriptures over them. To lord over or exercise lordship means to control, subjugate, or exercise dominion over according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Man was never given dominion over other men (or women) and neither does our Lord control or make us do anything.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
