BONDAGE
Greetings Dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this exciting and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. It is only empowering if we receive it, believe it, mix it with faith, and declare it in our lives. Please take a moment and share this teaching and all others as widely as possible to extend our reach with the good news. The beautiful picture featured today is provided by our good friend and man of God, Joe Getchell Jr. As I sit to write today, I am acutely aware of a desire in the body of Christ to see the Power of God in manifestation. We are looking for the manifestation of God in every area of our own lives and the lives of the people around us. Since the Ministry of Jesus, we have not seen a complete Ministry in the earth. Let me explain. We have seen healing ministries spring up for a season and die out. We have seen salvation ministries come and go. And, we have seen Ministries of good works like digging wells or building schools and so on. Have we seen this in one package? One of the things that gets overlooked in the Ministry of Jesus is the good works aspect.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Bold added)
Some point back to “moves of God” from the past, however, our future is not in the past. Those moves of God died out which is never the will of God and they did not get the job done. Getting the job done means that the flow of God through His people, the Church, transformed communities, States, and nations facilitating the return of Christ. The return of Christ is not independent of the Church. We believers, not just a person here and there, are to be doing the works Jesus did (all of them) and the greater works. Jesus did not have authority to do the “greater works” but the Cross and the Resurrection won back that authority, so, now we, the body of Christ, are fully authorized to do the greater works. Come on Church, let’s awake, arise, and triumph in Christ, facilitating the return of Christ! Now, let’s turn our attention to the Book of Isaiah and our primary Bible text. Please continue to read aloud, yes, out loud. Remember that faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17) not seeing, and it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).
Isaiah 1:18-20 (KJV)
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
The Lord has spent eighteen verses telling His people, not the world, their condition and the solution. Eighteen is the number of bondages. Men and women today just as in that day are in a variety of bondages. Right along with the heathen God’s people are in a variety of bondages. It is a given that the world is in bondage. Most of the Church has no idea the enemy has a place in them and that they are in bondage. Other words for bondage are slavery, captivity, oppression, and burden.
Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
This Anointing is upon each and every one of us dear ones who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. When will we receive it, believe it, and do it by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit?
Isaiah 10:27 (KJV)
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Are we in the Church still weighted down by the burdens of the devil, the world, and the curse or do we bear the burden of the Lord? Do the devil, the world, and the curse still have their yoke of bondage upon us? Listen to what Jesus says about His yoke and burden.
Matthew 11:30 (KJV)
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Let us choose this day which yoke and burden to bear. I choose Jesus!

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
