AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

AM I WILLING AND OBEDIENT?
Greetings Dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this exciting and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. It is only empowering if we receive it, believe it, mix it with faith, and declare it in our lives. Please take a moment and share this teaching and all others as widely as possible to extend our reach with the good news. I took the beautiful picture featured today as the airplane was descending into San Antonio on the 17th of June. As I sit to write today, I am acutely aware of a desire by some in the body of Christ to see the Power of God in manifestation. However, let us be careful to ask what that means to them. As I reflect on this, what I am looking for is the manifestation of God in every area of our own lives and the lives of the people around us. I am looking for the manifestation of God through each one enlarging us and thus enlarging the Kingdom. We must be real and attractive to the world. This is totally dependent upon unwavering faith, a pure (agape) love of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:21 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Love (agape) is obedience to Scripture, selflessness, and the observing of Blood Covenant. This applies to us and to God. Since the Ministry of Jesus, we have not seen a complete Ministry in the earth. Let me explain. We have seen healing ministries spring up for a season and die out. We have seen salvation ministries come and go. And, we have seen Ministries of good works like digging wells or building schools and so on. Have we seen this in one package? No, we have not. One of the things that gets overlooked in the Ministry of Jesus, a complete Ministry, is the good works aspect.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Bold added)
Some people point back to “moves of God” from the past and long to see them return, however, our future is not in the past. Those moves of God died out which is never the will of God and they did not get the job done. Getting the job done means to have a very large harvest, bringing transformation to our world (our personal sphere of influence and the larger world), and facilitating the return of Christ. The return of Christ is not independent of the Church. We believers, not just a person here and there, are to be doing the works Jesus did (all of them) and the greater works. Jesus did not have authority to do the “greater works” but the Cross, the Resurrection, and all that was done in between won back that authority, so, now we, the body of Christ, are fully authorized to do the greater works. Come on Church, let’s awake, arise, and triumph in Christ, facilitating the return of Christ! The Father is not sending Jesus to get His bride (the Church) until the Church is ready. At present we are not even close to ready. Now, let’s turn our attention to the Book of Isaiah and our primary Bible text. Continue to read aloud, yes, out loud. Remember, faith comes by hearing not seeing, and it is impossible to please God without faith.
Isaiah 1:18-20 (KJV)
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Yesterday I reminded us that the Lord through the Prophet Isaiah was making it clear to His people, not the heathen, but His people their current condition. He provided, pointed out the solution, which is always repentance and the blood. There is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. In the time of Isaiah God had provided the Atonement, the remission of sin for one year by the blood of innocent animals. Now, since the Cross, our sins are wiped away forever by the precious Blood of Jesus. For eighteen verses the Lord is speaking to His people about their sin and the solution (repentance, blood, and a willing obedient heart). Yesterday I taught about the number eighteen being the number of bondage and how His people then and now were and are in bondage. These next two verses, number nineteen and twenty are among the most glorious verses in Scripture, but only for those with a pure heart.
Isaiah 1:19-20 (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Perhaps we all would like to think that we are “willing and obedient” to the Lord. Is that thought true for me, for you? Are we bearing the fruit of willingness and obedience?

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
