A WELL OF TRUTH
CONDEMNATION

Greetings precious brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and welcome back to this powerful and illuminating study called “A WELL OF TRUTH”. Please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible and if you are prompted of the Holy Spirit to financially partner with us, we welcome you. As partners we pray for you daily, you share in our Anointing, and we are better enabled to do even greater things. Put another way it enables the Lord to call us to do greater things for His (and our) Kingdom. Sometimes the Lord calls us to do things and He has already provided the means (cash and otherwise) and sometimes we must use our faith following the promptings of the Holy Spirit to bring the thing to fruition. So, we invite you to partner with us but only as the Lord leads you. We are at the forefront, the edge of a vast harvest of souls. We see the tip of the iceberg now but soon the whole iceberg will be apparent to all. Unfortunately, the traditional organized Church will be left at the wayside and even a critic of the rising remnant just as in Jesus’ day. The end of the Church will be like the beginning. Now, let’s consider our main topic and the following familiar passage.
Romans 8:1-6 (KJV)
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
I have discussed this passage before but it seems to me the Lord is swinging me around to it once again. I will be focusing on the first verse and the word, idea of condemnation. Generally, when we hear this verse, it is at least implied that those who are saved are not under the condemnation of Hell. In other words, they are not condemned to Hell by virtue of salvation. That of course is true but is that what this verse and passage is telling us? First, let’s look at the definition of the word ‘condemnation’ from the Greek. This word sets forth the idea of an adverse sentence, to be judged against, or to be sentenced according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. So, we quickly see that it is primarily not talking about being condemned to Hell but other lesser adverse judgements.
The account of Job illuminates this idea and he recovered from it when he discovered his mouth caused the problem and repentance brought a two-fold restoration. This was not some sort of perverse game between God and Satan at Jobs expense but a problem that Job brought upon himself. Job himself brought down the hedge that had been about him when he entered into fear concerning his children and counted the blood of sacrifice as inadequate. He sacrificed repeatedly for what he perceived as the same problem. Do we take the Blood of Jesus lightly by repeatedly pleading or applying the Blood to the same problem? Study the b portion of the following verse.
Ecclesiastes 10:8 (KJV)
8 He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.
Have we repeatedly broken down the hedge God gave us and the serpent has bitten repeatedly? As we look back at Romans 8:1 we see there is no condemnation, adverse judgement against us, if we are saved, and if we walk after the Spirit (of God). What if we walk after (or give to) the things of the flesh like Job? Job gave into his flesh at the pressure of the devil. Looking back at the Ecclesiastes verse, did you notice who broke the hedge? Not God, not the devil, we do. When we tear the hedge down (sin) and don’t repent, the devil brings a case against us, and in the absence of our repentance God has no choice but to render justice which is an adverse judgement so far as we are concerned. Quickly focus in on Romans 8:6 and notice that being carnally minded (focused) brings death but being spiritually minded (focused) brings peace and life. Let’s ask ourselves if our life is flesh focused or spirit focused. Do we take Matthew 6:33 seriously and do it or do we just talk about it on Sunday morning?
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The answer is readily apparent as we examine our use of money and time.
Lord willing, I will return with fresh manner next Sunday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
