WAR IN THE HOLY LAND

Greetings to the friends and partners of this Ministry and followers of The Three Minute Word blog. Welcome back to our Bible Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment before we move forward to share these teachings as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry alone. The featured picture today is of Donna and myself on the 25th of May 2019, a wonderful day in our lives. God is so good.
Psalm 30:5 (MSG)
5 He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.
2 Corinthians 4:17 (MSG)
17 These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us.
Before we move into our Bible text from the Book of Isaiah, I want to briefly discuss something that has been illuminated to me twice (I believe by the Holy Spirit) recently. What has been illuminated is the phrase “He has overcome”. Both times were in a song. The implication was that because He overcame, we can relax and rest in that victory, His overcoming. While it is true, essential, that He overcome in His earthly mission it does not mean we have nothing to do. These things are very subtle dear ones but they bring us into a place where we are waiting on Him to move when the reality the next move is ours. This all stems in one way or another out of the demonic lie that God is in complete control and it is all up to Him. Is this the Truth, that His overcoming is all that is needed? Let’s look at some Scripture and find the Truth, not the traditions of me or the doctrines of demons.
Romans 12:21 (KJV)
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Jesus overcame evil and has enabled us to overcome evil but it is our choice. We always, absolutely always, have a part. Until we do our part, nothing happens.
1 John 5:4 (KJV)
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
The exercise of faith makes us an overcomer.
Revelation 3:21 (KJV)
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
I don’t know about you, but I for one want to sit with Him on His Throne. We don’t automatically overcome because He overcame with His life, Ministry, sacrifice, time in Hell, Resurrection, and ascension. All of this with the recouping of all authority for mankind, and the return of the Blessing with the return of the Holy Spirit in the earth on the Day (Feast) of Pentecost empowers us to overcome. We have no valid excuse. Now let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text continuing to read aloud.
Isaiah 7:1-3 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
2 And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
3 Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
Yesterday I talked at least in part how we came to this point in Israel that Isaiah is talking about and recording for our learning. Sin always brings war (conflict) and separations. When the King of Judah heard that Syria and Israel (ten tribes) were banded together he and the people were in fear. Next we find the Lord sending Isaiah and his son to meet with Ahaz the king of Judah.
Isaiah 7:3-7 (KJV)
3 Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
4 And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
6 Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
7 Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
Look at verse four in the Message Bible.
Isaiah 7:4 (MSG)
4 Tell him, Listen, calm down. Don’t be afraid. And don’t panic over these two burnt-out cases, Rezin of Aram and the son of Remaliah. They talk big but there’s nothing to them.
You know this is the attitude we need to have concerning our demonic adversaries. When the Father raised Jesus from the dead, we were raised with Him.
Ephesians 1:20-23 (KJV)
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
We are far above our spiritual enemies, not a little above, far above in authority and Power.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it!
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
