AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

AWFUL CYCLES OF SIN
Greetings precious saints of God, sons and daughters of Father God, brothers and sisters with Christ Jesus, helped by the Helper. Please take a moment before we move forward to share these teachings as widely as possible expanding our reach with the Truth. Before we move into our study let me remind us all that this is Martin Luther King Day. This man brought great forward strides for those called ‘black’, a measure of equality, and understanding. Much work, Godly work, was accomplished, much remains. It is a heart issue. In the beginning God created Adam, Eve from Adam, and no others, we all are of this one blood. Race is a fiction of demons to bring about division and all sorts of other evil.
Acts 17:26 (KJV)
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
The following is a short excerpt from Rev. Martin Luther Kings “I have a Dream” speech. Perhaps as we read this, we must take a moment to examine our own hearts.
“And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text for today as we continue our study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
As we have been making our way through this wonderful Book we have heard (you are reading out loud, right?) the Lord explain the sins of His people, their failure to repent, and the impending consequences. Woven into this fabric are many Messianic Scriptures such as the one we are now engaged with. This cycle of righteousness to unrighteousness, lack of repentance, bondage, and eventually repentance and restoration is seen multiple times in the 4000 years of the Old Testament. We don’t see this in the New Testament not because it hasn’t happened in the last 2000 years but the New Testament was written over about 100 years. What God is describing as the condition of His people in the preceding chapters is exactly where the Church in large part is today. How did they get there and how did we get here? It is never suddenly; it is little by little. Sin brings the curse, that is, sin gives the curse legal right in our lives. The curse in all of its forms (Deuteronomy 28:14 and following) can only enter our lives by sin, period.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
When we go aside from His Words to any other words we have turned aside to another god and the door is opened to the thieves for stealing, killing, and destroying in our lives. Religion plays this dark and wicked game of saying “we just don’t understand it”, “God is working something out”, “God is teaching us something”, or “it is just my cross to bear”. All of these are wicked lies of darkness.
Well, I didn’t get to much from Isaiah, but I wrote led of the Holy Spirit, Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
