FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK FIFTY-SEVEN
IS HEALING FOR EVERYONE?

Greetings dear and precious saints of God, the only Living God, the only God of all good now and forever more. Also, welcome back to “From the Prophets Chamber”. Today’s teaching is dealing with healing and giant errors that exist in the teachings of the organized Church concerning healing. Before I move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth, with hope. Thank you for sharing.
As I start forward let me answer the question which is the title of this study. “Is Healing for Everyone?” YES!!! Recently an article landed in my inbox with the title “4 Reasons Why God Doesn’t Always Answer Prayers for Healing”. As we look around us, and even at ourselves, there are many who have various illnesses, Christians and heathens alike. Many if not most of these have prayed for the Lord to heal them, and/or asked others to pray for them to be healed. Yet, they remain unhealed. Does this massive number of unhealed persons who have prayed for healing, even claimed healing, mean that God has not answered the prayer for healing? In effect is God, our Heavenly Father, and Christ Himself choosing winners and losers concerning healing? Certainly not, God wants all peoples to be healthy especially His children.
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
So, the Lord is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”. If you research the word “perish” here it has to do with more than dying and going to Hell. It has to do with suffering loss like in our health. Now, what is the point of talking about repentance? Certainly, staying out of Hell requires repentance but what about sickness? The author of this article states up front that “there are many times when the Lord does not answer our prayers for physical healing.” The author goes on to say, “Sadly, some have been led to believe they lack faith”. The author goes on to say, “at the end of the day, the truth remains: Sometimes, God chooses not to heal”. All of that is false to the core. The author disparages people being told they are not healed due to a lack of faith however that is a major obstacle to receiving healing. All of this throws the responsibility for our healing over on the Lord, absolving us of a part, and putting the understanding out of our reach. The viscous lie that God is in control of all that goes on in our lives, in everything. There are times when I don’t like the idea that I play the pivotal role for what goes on in my life and to a degree the lives of those around me, especially family. However, that is the Truth. I will now list the four “Biblical” reasons God doesn’t always heal according to the author of this article.
- “He sees the Beginning from the End”
- “He wants to save”
- “Our days are numbered”
- “His ways are not our ways”
Looking first at number one.
Isaiah 46:10 (KJV)
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
This is talking about the grand plan, will, of God but is not talking about the individual outcomes of our lives (during natural life and thereafter). The course of our lives is in our own hands and we alone choose the life we shall life either in ignorance, deception, or knowledge of God. We are freewill creations.
What about number two? “He wants to save”. The author puts forth that God will do anything including making one sick to bring them to salvation. Really!? Is God the one who brings the curse into our lives or is it we ourselves? Come on, you know the answer to this.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (KJV)
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
So, who chose the curse?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
