RALLYING BANNER

Arizona Statehouse
Greeting’s children of the Almighty God, the only Living God, and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand our reach with the gospel, the Truth. Thank you for sharing, you have a very important role in this Ministry. The featured picture is of the Arizona Statehouse to remind us all that we are commanded to pray for our government, those in authority. This is a great honor, responsibility, however the result of proper prayers followed by decrees given to us by God will result in a government of righteousness. Prayer (talking with God) and study of God’s Word are where we find the will of God and our decrees are how the will of God is put in motion. The authority is ours, the Power is Gods. Then with our thanksgiving and praise will the victory come. Listen to Jesus.
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text in the Book of Isaiah and continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 11:10-11 (KJV)
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
This chapter of Isaiah is very rich like really the rest of Holy Scripture. You have no doubt noticed that it is not chronological and that remains true for the remaining verses of chapter eleven. As we have discussed earlier in our study of Isaiah, Jesse’s Root is Christ Jesus. Some translations of the Bible translate the word ‘rest’ in verse ten as headquarters but the meaning from the Hebrew has to do with provision or supply. The benefits to all that come as a result of seeking and coming to the “Root of Jesse” will be glorious, over the top wonderful. Just to name a few, eternal life, life like and with God, wealth in the earth and health in the earth, abundance and wholeness in all areas of life by faith. Translated as headquarters would make one think of the Millennial Reign of Christ when He establishes, I am sure a fantastic, a headquarters in the valley created by the earthquake when His feet step onto the Mount of Olives at the Second Coming (not the Rapture).
As we move to verse eleven, we see a reference to the Lord setting His Hand (Power) to recover His people. When is this? The children of Israel went into bondage many times and then returned to Israel, to Jerusalem. A great diaspora occurred with the Jews under the Assyrians and then with the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 70 A.D. by Rome. Following the ascension of Christ there was a great scattering of the Jews (Hebrews) but then a great regathering even though they rejected Christ culminating in the rebirth of the nation of Israel on May 14, 1948. And as we move into verse twelve, we see the ensign (Jesus) for the nations (gentiles) and the regathering of the Jews to their homeland.
Isaiah 11:12 (KJV)
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Many Jews have received Christ as Savior over the last 2000 years but as a whole the blood Jews have rejected Jesus as the Messiah. The remainder of the verses in this chapter seem to be indicating a great coming together of the factions of the Jews as we saw with the division of the Kingdoms after King Solomon. It looks like there will be supernatural events like the parting of the Red Sea when all the children are brought home (the Promised Land). It appears likely to me that this occurs during the 1000-year reign of Christ upon this earth (not the new earth). As I finish for today, think upon the following verse.
Jeremiah 31:36 (KJV)
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
The Lord is saying that if any of His law, His Word were to fail then so would the seed of Israel (Jews) be no more. Otherwise, Israel will be a people, a nation before Him forever. Does this include the new heaven and the new earth?
Lord willing, I will pick up with chapter twelve tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
