IN THAT DAY

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Bible Study of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Please take a moment before we move forward to share this teaching with as many as possible to expand our reach with the gospel, the Truth. Thank you for sharing, you are an integral part of this Ministry. The picture today is of a group of Arabian Camels as a reminder this is “hump day” otherwise known as Wednesday. Today we will be moving forward into the twelfth chapter of the wonderful Book of Isaiah. Let’s read the entire 12th chapter out loud. Yes, out loud. You do want to build faith, don’t you? Remember without faith it is impossible to please Him. I am not talking about feigned faith, hoot and holler faith, but faith that is producing results in your life and the life of those around you.
Isaiah 12:1-6 (KJV)
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
God through His Prophet is continuing to speak to His people, those who have been professing Him as Lord. The Lord says that in the day they are redeemed by Him from the hand of the enemy they will praise and be thankful for His comfort. There seems to be a core of repentance here. Repentance is what turns away the anger of the Lord. As we move into the second verse, we see them confessing that the Almighty is their salvation. This Hebrew word translated to English as God also means Power in addition to Almighty. We may be seeing the third person of the Trinity here. Let’s take a look at this word ‘salvation’ which is a noun, feminine, singular. This means that salvation will produce after its own kind when the seed of Gods’ Word is added. The Hebrew word is transliterated to English as yeshûʿâ meaning deliverance, aid, victory, prosperity, health, salvation, to save, saving (health), and welfare according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Wow, this is before the Blood of Jesus. This is exactly like what our salvation looks like. The Greek word for salvation transliterated to English is sōtēria meaning to rescue or safety (physical or morally), deliver, health, salvation, save, and saving according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. Prosperity would be contained within the word ‘safety’ for one is not safe without prosperity and health.
True trust or confidence in another cannot occur except in the absence of fear. Fear is a stronger belief in the thing (person) feared than God. It is the belief that God will not manifest. We have greater faith in what we fear than the Word of God. That must be dealt with in each of our lives. One of the ways to combat this is to speak (yes, out loud) the Word of God in place of the problem or fear. The Word of God in our mouths is the solution to everything contrary to the Word and God. One cannot be any more contrary to the Word of God then being in, speaking, and acting on fear. Next, we come to the phrase “LORD JEHOVAH”. The Word ‘LORD’ here is literally translated as the Lord, most vehement according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. The Word ‘JEHOVAH’ is literally translated as self-Existent or Eternal according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. The first commonly refers to the One we now call Jesus and the second to the One we now call Father. It appears to me that we see the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is no salvation without all three being involved.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Also don’t forget we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
