FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK SIXTY-SIX
“IT IS FINISHED”

John 19:30 (KJV)
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this Bible teaching “From the Prophets Chamber”. If you are not yet a “saint” of God meaning that you are born from above, you are in Christ Jesus, a son or daughter of the Father, change that right now. You will not regret it, especially when your eyes close in death and Heaven is your destination and not Hell. Find a Bible and find the following passage and become a Kingdom of God kid being translated from darkness to light.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Welcome into the light, into the Kingdom of God. I realize that Passover and Resurrection Sunday are now weeks in the rearview mirror however the Lord has been teaching me about the verse above containing the phrase from Jesus’ lips “It is finished”. What was finished when He uttered that phrase? The work of redemption was not complete. The Resurrection is certainly as important as the sacrifice and that had not yet occurred. So, what was finished? What happened between the Cross and the Empty Tomb? Jesus descended into Hell for judgment. The Father had made Him sin for all mankind. His spirit man was dead (separated from the Father).
Mark 15:34 (KJV)
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Now what happened?
Hebrews 9:27-28 (KJV)
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
He was found innocent in the judgment!
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
He was innocent having no sin that was His own and that combined with His testimony of the voice of the Prophets before brought of judgment in Hell, that He was innocent of sin and then went into the Bosom of Abraham to preach the gospel and lead those captive there free.
1 Peter 3:18-19 (KJV)
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
Who were those “spirits in prison”? The Old Testament saints.
Ephesians 4:7-10 (KJV)
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Praise God that at His Resurrection they also were resurrected (first wave of the First Resurrection) and led into Heaven awaiting the Church.
As we reflect upon these things, I will end for today and we will pick up right here next Saturday.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Receive the blessing in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (MSG)
24 GOD bless you and keep you,
25 GOD smile on you and gift you,
26 GOD look you full in the face and make you prosper.
