FROM THE PROPHETS CHAMBER – WEEK SEVENTY-ONE
AUTHORITY IN THE EARTH – PART TWO
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. I will be continuing the teaching today on our authority in the earth. Before we move forward, please take a moment and share this teaching by every means available to you. This is so important for expanding our reach with the gospel, the good news of the Kingdom of God. In fact, the Master Himself told us to command the Kingdom of God into the earth.
Matthew 6:9-11 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
According to this Scripture, whose responsibility, who has the authority, to bring the Kingdom of God, the will of God into the earth? It is our responsibility, the sons (and daughters) of God. All of the Kingdom is ours, Jesus said so! It is ours to use according to the will of God.
Luke 12:32 (KJV)
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Matthew 6:33)
I discussed last Saturday the unchanging intent, the unchanging will of God, that He does not change, His will does not change (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8-9). I also discussed that the will of God in the earth concerning authority (dominion) was made clear at the first mention of mankind (Genesis 1:26-28). We know that man sinned and submitted his (mankind) authority or dominion to the devil. Still man was not controlled by devils, still had freewill, but fell increasingly prey to the wiles, deceptions of the demons. The authority of mankind no longer triggered a supernatural response from God until the Resurrection of the Christ (Messiah) and the return of the Holy Spirit into the earth available to all men (and women). However, from the day of sin and death (Genesis 3:6) until the finished work of Christ, God by legal means was able to take care of His people (those who submitted to Him). Certain ones were Anointed like Abraham, Moses, the Prophets, and others, but it was not available to all. Satan became the god of this world welding authority through his deceptions of mankind.
Luke 4:6-8 (KJV)
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
The word translated as power in verse six is authority or dominion. Jesus did not dispute that Adam had passed this power (authority, dominion) to the devil. But praise the Lord at that time Jesus was just three short years from getting it back for mankind! Let’s look at the following Scripture in the Complete Jewish Bible translation.
Matthew 28:18-20 (CJB)
18 Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into talmidim, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Ruach HaKodesh,
20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.”
Did Jesus give us His Power of Attorney to go into all the earth and do what He did? These verses certainly proclaim that very thing. Verse nineteen tells us to go in His authority, in His name, making peoples of all nations disciples (talmidim). Notice there is nothing here about dunking in water but immersing the new disciples in the reality of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh). We are also to teach these new disciples (and ourselves) to do all that He commanded, which is to do what He did in the earth.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Lord willing, I will continue this study of our authority in the earth next Saturday.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
